  • Patent number: 11055888
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure include technologies for appearance-flow-based image generation. In applications for pose-guided person image generation or virtual try-on, the disclosed system can model the appearance flow between source and target clothing regions. Further, a cascaded appearance flow estimation network is used to progressively refine the appearance flow. The resulting appearance flow can properly encode the geometric changes between the source and the target for image generation.

  • Publication number: 20210137166
Abstract: A laser heater assembly for a vaporizer includes a power source, a laser source, a lens, and a reaction chamber. The lens is disposed within the optical path. During operation, the laser source emits light, the light propagating along an optical path during operation of the light source. The lens receives the emitted light from the laser source, and outputs a modified light having an energy profile that is substantially spatially uniform. The modified light traverses at least a portion of an opening of the reaction chamber and vaporizes a vaporization substance (e.g., a dry plant material) received within the reaction chamber. The emitted light can be collimated light, and the modified light can be a homogeneous line profile beam.

  • Publication number: 20210127630
Abstract: A feeding system for feeding individual animals of a herd feed, supplements, and combinations thereof. The feeding system includes one-to-many feed bin assemblies or feeding stations such that the system is able to dispense a specified mass of feed to specific animals at user-defined intervals. In this way, each animal of a herd is provided with optimal, individualized amounts of feed or feed material. Multiple feed bin assemblies in a single pasture, for example, can automatically form a network of feeders so that regardless of the specific feed bin assembly or feeding station within the feeding system that an animal visits, the specified amount and type of feed or feed material is delivered. Each feed bin assembly or feeding station can also be equipped to download, archive/store, and/or synthesize data into an individual animal record and/or to transmit data from additional onboard animal sensors such as activity and rumination sensors.

  • Patent number: 10989178
Abstract: A method of electricity production using water thermal energy includes compressing an enclosed working fluid at a first vertical position relative to a surface of a body of water to cause the fluid to move to a second vertical position relative to the surface and subsequently move to the first position in a closed loop, an external environment at the second position having a greater temperature than an external environment at the first position such that the fluid transitions between a liquid phase at the first position and a vapor phase at the second position, the compressing using power from a battery, and expanding the fluid at the second position to generate electricity to charge the battery. The first and second positions may be two depths of the body of water or a height of an atmosphere above the body of water and a depth of the body of water.

  • Publication number: 20210117949
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure include technologies for detecting irregular scans, specifically when a retail system fails to collect the genuine information of a product. The disclosed retail system retrieves images covering a specific region, e.g., the designated scanning area. Further the disclosed retail system uses neural networks to detect the product from such images and track a moving path of the product over the specific region. Irregular scans may be detected when the tracked product in the images does not match what is collected by the scanner of the retail system.
