  • Patent number: 9633122
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for delivering customized versions of web pages to users. In one implementation, a method is provided for customizing a delivered version of a web page to reflect a current time-of-day at a geographic location of the user. According to the method, a request for a web page is received from a client device of the user. The request for the web page includes an IP address of the client device. Based on the IP address, a current time is determined for the received request. Thereafter, a version of the requested web page corresponding to the current time is generated, and the generated version of the requested web page is delivered to the client device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 20, 2011
Date of Patent: April 25, 2017
    Assignee: AOL Inc.
Inventors: Jeffrey C. Reynar, Robert Sewell, Jason M. Watson

  • Publication number: 20050126139
Abstract: An exhaust gas filter cartridge which is suitable for use in a muffler such as to form an exhaust gas filtering system is disclosed. The filter cartridge preferably includes a first porous longitudinal wall and a second porous longitudinal wall, both porous longitudinal walls having openings which allow for a sufficient gas flow through the filter cartridge. An absorbent material, preferably in pellet form, is housed substantially in-between the first porous longitudinal wall and the second porous longitudinal wall of the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge is preferably disposable. A guard casing may be used in conjunction with the filter cartridge to provide an exhaust gas filtering system. The guard casing preferably has two end closure structures. A gas inlet end structure is preferably associated with one end closure structure and a gas outlet end structure may be associated with the other end closure structure of the guard casing.

  • Patent number: 5374705
Abstract: Polyether polyols are by reacting an alkylene oxide comprising propylene oxide with an initiator containing at least three active hydrogen atoms per molecule. The reaction is conducted in the presence of an alkoxylation catalyst which is barium, strontium and their oxides, hydroxides, hydrated hydroxides or monohydroxide salts, or mixtures thereof; and in the presence of from about 1 to about 10 weight percent, based on total weight of initiator, of a processing aid that is an organic monohydroxyl- or dihydroxyl-containing substance having a molecular weight of at least 30, or a mixture thereof. The processing aid enhances the ability to obtain polyether polyols having a reduced unsaturation content.

  • Patent number: 5114989
Abstract: This invention relates to an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer prepared from a polyisocyanate comprising 4,4'-methylene diphenyldiisocyanate and polyoxyalkylene polyol wherein the polyol has an average functionality of from about 2 to about 4, a hydroxyl equivalent weight of from about 2200 to 3500 and containing oxyethylene residues in from about 40 to about 68 percent by weight; and the use thereof in the manufacturing of flexible polyurethane foam.

  • Patent number: 5089534
Abstract: This invention relates to the use of phosphorus-containing compounds, specifically cyclic organophosphorus compounds, as carbodiimidization catalysts in the preparation of open-celled flexible polyurethane foam for the purpose of controlling foam density and providing softer foams. foams that are softer and of lower density can be prepared with significantly reduced quantities of blowing agents in comparison to foams prepared in the absence of such phosphorus-containing compounds. Additionally, use of such catalysts provides for a reduced reaction exotherm during the preparation of the foam thereby minimizing foam discoloration or scorching. Preferred phosphorus-containing compounds are the 1-alkyl-1-oxophospholenes, especially 1-methyl-1-oxophospholene.

  • Patent number: 4018487
Abstract: An improved sewing machine head lifter mechanism for supporting a sewing machine head in a cabinet includes a support linkage with a spring support mechanism for the linkage. An adjustable cam member is provided for cooperation with the spring mechanism. Thus, the adjustable cam engages one end of a tension spring. The opposite end of the spring engages a head support bracket. The spring is supported intermediate its ends. Pivotal movement of the cam member adjusts tension of the spring to provide the requisite force for supporting the head support bracket and an attached sewing machine head.
