  • Patent number: 11550337
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data capture trigger configuration for asset tracking are provided. Another example method capturing raw data involves obtaining a rich data capture trigger that defines when a controller of an asset tracking device onboard an asset is to identify and log an unsimplified block of raw data in raw data on the asset tracking device for rich data analysis, transmitting data capture instructions to the asset tracking device that contains the rich data capture trigger, and receiving the simplified set of raw data and the unsimplified block of raw data from the asset tracking device.

  • Publication number: 20230005696
Abstract: A vacuum tube insert assembly includes a flared insert piece having an annular flange and a stem each constructed of glass. The stem extends axially from the flange. The flange surrounds a perimeter edge of a plug concavity defined by the stem. Feed-through pins pass axially through the stem and are sealed thereto. The pins terminate inside of the concavity to form a plug. A socket connects to the plug within the concavity and includes receptacles that removably couple to the pins, with an engagement feature preventing erroneous plug and socket connections. A method includes axially inserting the pins through the stem at a fixed relative position such that the pins are arranged within the plug concavity, sealing the stem such that the stem is vacuum-sealed to the pins, thereby forming the plug, and removably coupling mating receptacles of the socket to the pins.

  • Patent number: 11473545
Abstract: Devices and systems for determining an alternator condition in a motor vehicle are provided. The method includes performing a plurality of micro wakeups to capture voltage values during a cranking event, determining the maximum cranking voltage and its timestamp, detecting an ignition signal, determining the maximum device voltage and its timestamp, and determining a potential alternator undercharging condition if a duration between the maximum cranking voltage timestamp and the maximum device voltage timestamp is greater than an undercharging indicator duration threshold. • Publication number: 20220246036
Abstract: Described herein are examples of a computerized method that comprises: in response to obtaining information regarding a potential collision between a vehicle and an object, obtaining data describing the vehicle for a time period extending before and after a time of the potential collision. The method may determine a likelihood that the potential collision is a non-collision event based on the data describing the vehicle by performing one or more assessments. The assessments may include telematics monitor assessment, driver behavior assessment, road surface feature assessment, trip correlation assessment, and/or context assessment. In response to determining that the likelihood indicates that the potential collision is not a non-collision event, the method may trigger one or more actions responding to the potential collision.

  • Publication number: 20210390497
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data capture instructions for asset tracking are provided. An example method for capturing data involves obtaining raw data from a data source onboard an asset and monitoring the raw data for satisfaction of a simplified data capture trigger. When the simplified data capture trigger is satisfied, a dataset simplification algorithm is performed on the raw data to generate a simplified set of raw data, and the simplified set of raw data is logged. The method further involves monitoring the raw data for satisfaction of a rich data capture trigger. When the rich data capture trigger is satisfied, an unsimplified block of raw data is identified and logged for rich data analysis. The data is transmitted to a server. The unsimplified block of raw data contains raw data that is additional to the raw data contained in the simplified set of raw data.

  • Publication number: 20160335654
Abstract: Systems and methods for incentivizing users to collect real-world items and provide item ratings are described. Theses examples are applicable to a wide variety of different collection scenarios, including the collection of candies by trick-or-treaters during Halloween, the collection of Girl Scout cookies during the local cookie season, toys (e.g., action figures and Legos characters), and the collection of rare items (e.g., out-of-circulation baseball cards, stamps, and coins). These examples allow users to submit data relating to the items they collect (e.g., item types, item quantities, item collection times, and item collection locations). These examples generate a respective inventory of collected items for each user. The inventories are provided to the users for display on their computing devices. On the basis of data derived from the inventories, the examples provide incentives that are structured to encourage user to collect additional items and submit item ratings.

  • Publication number: 20160207809
Abstract: A method of using micro-organisms to continuously and sustainably regenerate zeolite cation exchange capacity (CEC) for removing nitrogen (ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate) from wastewater. The zeolite immobilizes the ammonium ions, and the micro-organisms ingest the ammonium from the surface of the zeolite thereby freeing the cation exchange sites to trap more ammonium. The zeolite is continuously regenerated by the microbes, sustainably maintaining available ion exchange capacity for removing ammonium, and does not need to be shut down for regeneration or replacement. The microbial complex contains nitrifiers, anammox, denitrifiers, archaea, and others. All the micro-organisms co-exist in the same reactor promoting symbiotic interactions, thereby increasing treatment efficiency. The end product is di-nitrogen gas which dissipates into the atmosphere. The system does not require aeration, operates by gravity flow, and has very low energy requirements.
