  • Patent number: 9769354
Abstract: An efficient method and system to enhance digital acquisition devices for analog data is presented. The enhancements offered by the method and system are available to the user in local as well as in remote deployments yielding efficiency gains for a large variety of business processes. The quality enhancements of the acquired digital data are achieved efficiently by employing virtual reacquisition. The method of virtual reacquisition renders unnecessary the physical reacquisition of the analog data in case the digital data obtained by the acquisition device are of insufficient quality. The method and system allows multiple users to access the same acquisition device for analog data. In some embodiments, one or more users can virtually reacquire data provided by multiple analog or digital sources. The acquired raw data can be processed by each user according to his personal preferences and/or requirements.

  • Publication number: 20090222452
Abstract: The intermediate stateful database includes a controller (an archiver) and a plurality of tables. The archiver receives commands from a centralized command console, receives a command update request from a remote device, generates a plurality of commands in response to the command update request, transmits the plurality of commands to the remote device, and receives a plurality of results corresponding to the plurality of commands from the remote device. The archiver receives the command information corresponding to the plurality of commands and result information corresponding to the plurality of results and distributes items of the command information to a plurality of tables in the intermediate stateful database. Command identification information and associated command/error table associations are loaded into the command identification (CID) table. Command sequencing, command results and associated command identification information is loaded into the command (CMD) table.

  • Publication number: 20090106644
Abstract: A ShapeShifter software component selects and modifies a mask associated with a presentation device. The ShapeShifter software component receives input to select the presentation device from a plurality of presentation devices. The Shape Shifter software component displays a mask associated with the selected presentation device, displays mask modification tools for associated mask, and allows utilization of one of the mask modification tools on the selected mask to create a modified mask. In an embodiment of the invention, the ShapeShifter software component controls a presentation management system by first establishing a plurality of projection devices. The ShapeShifter software component creates a room layout for the plurality of projection device and creates a presentation list for at least one of the plurality of projection devices. The ShapeShifter software component modifies a content file and creates a mask for at least one of the plurality of projection devices.

  • Patent number: 6886951
Abstract: A method and tool to smooth surface contours uses a fixed back plate mounted at a known distance to an actuator holding plate. Each of the actuators is mounted in said actuation holding plate by a support collar threaded into said actuator holding plate. Threaded with said support collar is an actuator holder with rigidly holds an actuator. A differential threaded adjustment device is then inserted through said fixed back plate and connected to say support collar and actuator holder so that each can be moved independently of the other. The actuator is made of two piezoelectric plates connected in parallel and separated by a silicon rubber o-ring.

  • Patent number: 6398240
Abstract: The present invention is an after-market vehicle-lowering steering knuckle (drop spindle) designed for use with a large-bore “live” wheel hub to lower a vehicle chassis. This is accomplished through the inversion and modification of the upper and lower ball joints as compared to a factory steering knuckle, and a modification of the bolt assembly for attaching the wheel hub assembly to the spindle. The present invention allows the factory-supplied upper and lower control arms to be used, providing a considerable cost savings to the end user. The drop spindle design described herein may also be used to lower four-wheel drive trucks.

  • Patent number: 6234507
Abstract: A wheelchair suspension system includes suspension members that interact to cause a positive movement of the suspension members to urge the drive wheels into contact with the ground. The resilient suspension system comprises a drive wheel suspension member for supporting a drive wheel and a front wheel suspension member for supporting a front wheel. The drive wheel suspension member and the front wheel suspension member are each adapted to be movably attached to the wheelchair frame. Each suspension member cooperates with a resilient element to resist movement of the suspension members relative to the frame. The suspension members are adapted to cooperate with each other in response to movement of the suspension members relative to the frame to urge the drive wheel into contact with the ground.
