  • Patent number: 9207331
Abstract: A system method for improving the accuracy of a tracking device is described where the tracking device cannot achieve an accurate GPS fix due to low observability. The system and method improves accuracy determining a current position for the tracking device using incomplete information from the GPS. The current position is added to a historical table of previous position determinations and a normalized center position is calculated from the current position and previous position determinations. The position of the tracking device is inferred from the normalized center position.

  • Publication number: 20110224868
Abstract: In a method of evaluating vehicle suitability for a driver, data relating to driving habits of the driver over a period of time are recorded into a digital memory. A driving behavior profile of the driver based on the data is determined with a computer processor. A computer-generated report indicating expected results of operating at least one vehicle of a selected type based on the driving behavior profile is generated.

  • Patent number: 7215364
Abstract: An imaging system for obtaining a wide field of view comprises a plurality of imaging devices each having a defined field of view and each of the imaging devices having a mechanism for capturing an image at a selected time instant. The imaging devices are positioned such that the field of view of each device overlaps the field of view of each adjacent device. A control module simultaneously actuates each of the imaging devices to capturing an image within the field of view of all devices concurrently. The resulting images from each of the devices are merged to produce a wide field of view image.

  • Patent number: 4503545
Abstract: A data communication system which includes a transmitter and a receiver is used in QAM or PSK modulation. The receiver provides a signal space pattern wherein each point is defined in a coordinate system in which a first axis is the in-phase channel axis and a second axis is the quadrature channel axis in the signal space diagram. Additionally, the receiver determines the parameters for reducing the intersymbol interference of the received signal.
