Abstract: A system and methods for controlled market data delivery are described. According to one example embodiment, upon detecting a preset threshold of updates in a queue at a gateway, a predetermined number of market updates may be processed before any data is sent to a client terminal. According to one method, update types may be used to control how many updates are processed before any data is sent. Also, once the number of updates to be processed is set, a market update having a higher priority update type may be used to trigger a change in the number of market updates that was set for processing.

The pen needle assembly includes a hub retaining a needle and a bullet having a cover to seal the bullet, where the bullet encloses the hub in a first position. The arm engages the adapter to the hub, and the arm causes the hub to rotate within the bullet to move the hub into a second position.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are provided to detect when items are removed from a multiple cavity carrier (MCC) that stores items (e.g., pen needle assemblies) in respective cavities. A separate, reusable data collection unit (DCU) can be mounted to the MCC and has sensors for detecting cavity status (e.g., empty or filled with an item). The DCU stores data related to time stamps, optional dates, and cavity locations of item removal from and optional used item return to respective ones of the MCC cavities to help users track item usage (e.g., pen needle assemblies) to improve medication delivery management such as insulin injections with an injection pen and pen needle assemblies. Indicators can be generated to indicate from which cavity the next item should be extracted to encourage injection site rotation.

Abstract: An injection pen, or an adapter for an injector pen, configured to connect at its distal end with a needle assembly, and having a tubular wall comprising a through cut from the distal end to pierce and capture barrier material covering needle assembly packaging containing a needle assembly in a cavity therein. The though cut has an opening with an edge that scythes the barrier material when the hub is pressed against the needle assembly packaging to access the needle assembly. The edge can have a tooth for piercing the barrier material. The opening can be dimensioned and shaped and angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the pen or adapter to facilitate capturing scythed barrier material and guiding it away from the needle assembly to ensure the pierced barrier material does not hinder connection of the needle assembly to the pen or adapter.

Multi-channel communication is used between the end user and the CSR. The multi-channel communication includes at least voice and data. Messages containing market information related to the inside market may be associated to a higher priority level. Whereas messages containing market information relating to the quantities at prices outside the inside market may be associated with a lower priority level. Based on the priority level associated with a message, a network device may send the message directly to the client device or store the message in a data structure until a pre-defined condition is satisfied.
