    Abstract: An adjustable suspension apparatus and method. One embodiment provides a substrate mounting apparatus that provides the ability to mount the apparatus on a substrate and move the location of a suspended object in at least a substantial two-dimensional planar area. One embodiment allows the suspended object to be moved vertically, laterally, and tilted or leveled with respect to the substrate by merely sliding one or more components of the apparatus from one place to another on the apparatus, without moving the components of the apparatus mounted on the substrate. One embodiment includes a laterally extending element, a peaked or inverted-peaked structure, and interconnecting supports providing for mounting of the laterally extending element to the substrate and sliding support for laterally slidable members.

    Abstract: A gunstock that is provided that includes a core, a unidirectional fiberglass layer, a decorative layer, a woven fiberglass layer, and a resin impregnating the layers. The core includes a forearm, a grip, and a buttstock. The unidirectional fiberglass layer is laid over the core. The decorative layer may be a fabric or a natural foliage that is laid over the unidirectional fiberglass. The woven fiberglass is a seamless sock that is woven directly over the decorative layer. Resin transfer molding is employed to impregnate the resin into the fiber. Once impregnated with the resin and cured, the fiberglass becomes transparent along with the resin such that the decorative layer can be seen through the fiberglass and resin composite. Composite crossbolts are also provided through the action area of the core. These crossbolts include fiberglass arms that extend along the sides of the core toward the butt of the stock. A method for constructing a gunstock as described above is also provided.

    Abstract: A tool for use in the game of golf, comprised of a polygonal prongs along with a radiused edge, which is used to remove ball marks such as indentions and ridges from golf ground surfaces. These ball marks are formed when the ball impacts the ground surface. The tool additionally incorporates a case for the carrying of small objects. These small objects include a moistened sponge or similar material to clean golf balls or club heads. A substantially leak-proof engagement between the body and the cover of the case allows the sponge or similar material to remain moist over extended periods of time, thus prolonging the material's cleaning capability.

    Abstract: A pliable, resilient retaining means integrated with an area to be masked in an architectural structure, extending over and substantially covering a channel about the perimeter of the area. The retaining means is attached to the channel wall proximate the area to be masked and is inwardly displaceable, allowing for the insertion and retention of non-adhesive paper or plastic masking material. The resilience of the retaining means urges it from its displaced position outward towards the channel wall distal the area to be masked where it frictionally engages the masking sheet between the end of the retaining means and the channel wall. Placement of the masking sheet is accomplished by stuffing the edges of the sheet into the channel by running a tool along the perimeter of the channel structure, displacing the retaining means inwardly both substantially parallel and at an angle to the channel walls.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a ring armature electroacoustic transducer adapted for use as the receiver for telephone sets and for other purposes. The exemplary embodiment comprises the following elements coaxial about a common vertical axis: (a) a cylindrical ring permanent magnet (15) of Fe-Cr-Co material, (b) an annular disc upper pole piece (20) seated on magnet 15 and having at its inner margin a downwardly salient annular boss (30) providing an upper pole tip, (c) a lower pole piece (35) providing an annular lower pole tip (37) and aflange (36) coupling such tip (37) to the bottom of the magnet, (d) an armature support (40) within the magnet (15), (e) an annular disc armature (50) seated on the support (40), (f) a diaphragm (60) on the armature (50), and (g) a terminal plate (45) supporting such elements. The armature (50) is seated on a circular edge (90) on the support (40). The support (40), lower pole piece (35) and plate (45) form a unitary structure.

    Abstract: An analyzer for analyzing the flash point of a product in a process comprising a steam stripper receiving a stream of material and receiving steam includes sensors sensing the temperatures of the material, the steam and the product which provide corresponding signals. Other sensors sense the flow rates of the material, the steam, and the product and provide corresponding signals. The pressure in the top of the stripper is also sensed and a corresponding signal provided. Apparatus samples the product and provides signals corresponding to at least two predetermined parameters of the product. A circuit receiving the signals from the sensors, and from the apparatus provide a signal corresponding to the flash point temperature of the product in accordance with the signals from the sensors and the apparatus.
