  • Patent number: 11144976
Abstract: Apparatus such as a vending machine can store custom-decorated physical products to be dispensed or made available to users and consumers based on a color sampling of another object or person. The invention also includes the method of creating the packaging of the products based on the color sampling of the object or person.

  • Patent number: 9828134
Abstract: A canister with a novel dispensing aperture is described. The aperture is located within a continuous surface opposite the seamed canister end. By thus locating the aperture, canister contents may be dispensed or sipped without the interference of debris-collecting grooves, seam edges, and sharp angles typical of canisters with dispensing apertures located on seamed ends.

  • Patent number: 8403174
Abstract: A overcap is provided which covers the opening of a container. The overcap, in one form, engages an exterior of the container around the rim and along an inwardly directed flange which defines an opening of the container. The overcap snappingly engages with the container to produce an audible indication that the overcap is firmly attached to the container and that air is being expelled from inside the container. In another form, the overcap includes an invertible dome which is transformable between an upward convex position and an upward concave position.

  • Patent number: 8074825
Abstract: A container assembly with a closure and the structure of the closure. The container has multiple compartments for holding different materials. The container has a closure with a fitment that attaches to the container. The fitment has separate bottom receptacle areas on one side and a top receptacle on the other. The separate receptacle areas are each exposed to different compartments within the container. The top receptacle area is connected to each of the separate receptacle areas by conduits. A selection head is provided having a pour spout and a plurality of baffle chambers. The pour spout has an open central conduit, wherein only some of the baffle chambers are open to that central conduit. The baffle chambers are received within the top receptacle area of the fitment. Different combinations of the baffle chambers selectively align with different conduits as the selection head rotates within the fitment.

  • Patent number: 5708681
Abstract: A technique for controlling the transmission power level of a transmitter, particularly in a wireless personal communication system, is disclosed. This technique assists in the prevention of interference between transceivers from degrading the quality of transmissions. Transmission power level is controlled through a hybrid circuit containing both digital and analog electronics. The transmission power level is set by controlling both the amount by which a data stream is compressed and the gain of an analog transmit power amplifier. This approach allows adequate control over the transmission power level; it avoids the need for utilizing excessively wide data paths for the digital transmit signals (which may compromise portable terminal battery consumption), or utilizing expensive, hard-to-calibrate analog electronics.

  • Patent number: 5636208
Abstract: An improved technique for simultaneously performing bit synchronization and error detection of received digital data bursts in a time division multiplexed/time division multiple access (TDM/TDMA) system, such as that used in conjunction with low power portable digital telephony. With the improved technique both bit synchronization and error detection are performed simultaneously to thereby reduce latency in the transceiver. Since round-trip delay is reduced, echo suppression techniques may not be needed.

  • Patent number: 5475677
Abstract: In a TDM/TDMA portable radio communications system, a portable handset is compatible for operation in both a frequency-division duplexing (FDD) mode for communication in the licensed portion of the Emerging Technologies frequency band, and in a time-division duplexing (TDD) mode for communication in the unlicensed portion of the Emerging Technologies frequency band. In the FDD mode, different frequencies are used to separate a downlink transmission to a portable from a port from an uplink transmission from a port to a portable. In the TDD mode, uplink and downlink transmissions are separated in different time-slots, but at the same frequency. The handset includes common transmit and receive circuitry that operates at fixed IF frequencies that are separated in frequency by the fixed FDD frequency difference between corresponding uplink and downlink signals.
