The displacer unit having at least one displacer space which is arranged in a cylindrical drum rotating about an axis of rotation and which can be connected to an inlet connection and an outlet connection by means of a control surface. The control surface is formed on a valve plate body which is provided with a first control opening, which is connected to the inlet connection, and with a second control opening, which is connected to the outlet connection. The first control opening and the second control opening are spaced apart radially, where the displacer space can be connected to the first control opening by a first connecting passage and to the second control opening by a second connecting passage. The connecting passages are provided with a respective mechanical face seal for sealing relative to the control openings.

Abstract: A storage tank, in particular a storage tank for cryogenic media, preferably for liquid hydrogen, including at least one condensation pipe, which is used for delivering a gaseous cryogenic medium, is disclosed. In addition, a method for filling a storage tank with a gaseous cryogenic medium is disclosed. The condensation pipe is equipped with at least one heat exchanger via which the delivered cryogenic medium is cooled by exchanging heat with the stored cryogenic medium.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for compressing a cryogenic media is disclosed. A compressor includes a compressor chamber surrounded by a cylinder wall in which a compressor piston is moved in a linear manner, a suction valve and a pressure valve, which are arranged in the region of the lower end position of the compressor piston, and a liquid chamber which at least partially surrounds the compressor chamber. The cylinder wall defines at least one opening, which corresponds to the liquid chamber, and at least one opening, via which the gaseous medium can be extracted from the compressor chamber, where the openings are located at points on the cylinder wall that are passed by the compressor piston.

The alert is received on a smart alert home page which has been customized by the user based upon their personal preferences. The homepage includes advertisements which financially support the network operation. The advertisements are targeted at the user, based upon demographic profiles which they have inputted as their individual preferences.

Compression is managed by a reciprocating piston compressor, where the piston or pistons of which have a dynamic seal or dynamic seals. A graphite-bearing medium is supplied to the cylinder chamber or chambers before and/or during compression, where the graphite-bearing medium is configured such that it settles on the dynamic seal or seals. The reciprocating piston compressor has a means to supply/introduce the graphite-bearing medium into the cylinder chamber or chambers.
