    Abstract: A valley current mode switching regulator is provided. When the main switch of the switching regulator is closed, the current through the main switch is sensed and sampled. The sensed main switch current is held while the main switch is off. While the main switch is off, the inductor current is emulated. Emulated valley current mode control is provided based on the sensed main switch current and the emulated flywheel current.
