Publication number: 20240261556Abstract: An adaptor for modifying pre-existing delivery system to improve delivery of an injectable treatment material through the delivery system. The delivery system is a pre-existing delivery system formed separately and without regard to the manufacture of the adaptor. The delivery system includes an administration set and a catheter set coupled together in fluid communication via a manifold. The injectable treatment material may be in the form of microspheres or microbeads which may become held up within the void space of the pre-existing manifold of the delivery system. The adaptor reconfigures the interior of the manifold to facilitate complete flow of the injectable treatment material therethrough without getting hung up or otherwise caught within the manifold and not delivered to a patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2024Publication date: August 8, 2024Applicant: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC SCIMED, INC.Inventors: Robert M. Wold, Justin Robert Alt, Jordon Lewis

Publication number: 20060126216Abstract: An enclosure is provided defining an annular shroud adapted for receivingly engaging a rotatable data storage media. A method is provided for managing fluid flow created by a moving data storage medium, the method comprising circumscribing an annular shroud adjacent to an edge of the medium. A data storage device is provided comprising a rotatable data storage disc, and a fluid flow conditioner for minimizing excitation imparted to the disc by steps for managing fluid flow surrounding the disc.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2004Publication date: June 15, 2006Inventors: Jason Sorrell, Robert Alt

Publication number: 20050270691Abstract: An apparatus which provides improved fluidic control includes a circumferentially extending windage plate adapted for placement adjacent a rotatable disc surface. The plate operates to direct fluidic currents established by rotation of the surface. One or more snubber members are supported by the plate to prevent localized contact between the plate and the surface as a result of deflection induced by application of a mechanical shock. Preferably, an access element is moveable along a movement path adjacent the rotatable surface. An air dam comprising a localized increased thickness portion of the plate at a leading or trailing edge of the plate preferably further directs the fluidic flow, and the snubber member-further prevents contact between the air dam and the rotatable surface. The rotatable surface preferably comprises a data recording surface and the access element preferably comprises a data transducing head.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2004Publication date: December 8, 2005Inventors: Kenneth Pottebaum, Jackson Nichols, Robert Alt

Publication number: 20050219739Abstract: An apparatus provides improved positional control for an access element moveable adjacent a rotatable surface, such as a data transducing head adjacent a data recording surface of a data storage device. A circumferentially extending windage plate is adapted for placement adjacent the rotatable surface. The plate includes an edge surface configured to extend adjacent a movement path of an access element across the rotatable surface. The edge surface supports a ramp structure adapted to receivingly support the access element at a position away from the rotatable surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2004Publication date: October 6, 2005Applicant: Seagate Technology LLCInventors: Robert Alt, E.
