  • Publication number: 20070074833
Abstract: Differentially densified fibrous structures, methods for making same, and processes for treating fibers used in the fibrous structures are provided. More particularly, fibrous structures comprising two or more regions, at least one of which exhibits a density that is at least 1.6 times greater than another region within the fibrous structure, methods for making such fibrous structures and non-naturally occurring fibers useful in such fibrous structures are provided.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20070062655
Abstract: The present invention provides for a tissue product comprising one or more tissue plies and having a total tensile value of less than about 1300 grams per inch, a Bulk300 of greater than about 13.5 cm3/g, and a caliper stability of greater than about 50%. The present invention also provides for a tissue product comprising at least three plies. The tissue product has a total tensile value of less than about 1300 grams per inch, a Bulk300 greater than about 11 cm3/g, and a caliper stability greater than 50%. The present invention further provides for a tissue product comprising as least two plies. The tissue product has a total tensile value of less than about 1300 grams per inch, a Bulk300 of greater than about 7.0 cm3/g, and a caliper stability of greater than about 83%.

  • Publication number: 20060278298
Abstract: A papermaking belt having a reinforcing structure and a pattern layer is disclosed. The reinforcing layer has a first layer of interwoven machine direction yarns and cross-machine direction yarns. The machine direction and cross-machine direction yarns of the first layer are interwoven in a weave. The pattern layer extends outwardly from and into the first layer. The pattern layer provides a web contacting surface facing outwardly from the first layer. The pattern layer further has at least one region having an amorphous pattern of elongate two-dimensional geometrical shapes having a longitudinal axis having an angle relative to either of the machine direction or the cross-machine direction. The amorphous pattern of two-dimensional geometrical shapes has a statically controlled degree of randomness.

  • Publication number: 20060280909
Abstract: Three-dimensional web materials, more particularly, a three-dimensional web material having a first side and a second side are disclosed herein. The first side comprises at least one region having a plurality of spaced elongate three-dimensional protrusions extending outwardly from the first side which are preferably unitarily formed from the web material. The elongate protrusions form an amorphous pattern of a plurality of elongate two-dimensional geometrical shapes.
