  • Patent number: 11911067
Abstract: A circumcision device and methods for using and manufacturing the same are disclosed. Embodiments of the circumcision device include a connector that permits the circumcision device to be connected by hand to and disconnected by hand from a tissue holding member while the tissue holding member is holding penile tissue. The connector permits the circumcision device to rotate while connected to the tissue holding member. Embodiments include a blade (cutting member) that is bent at an angle that may be oblique, and the blade may include a slot on either side of or across the bend. Further embodiments include at least one gripping member that extends perpendicularly to the axis the device rotates around, while additional embodiments include at least one gripping member that is aligned with the connector to assist in connection and removal of the device from a tissue holding member.

  • Patent number: 11701243
Abstract: A bone mill includes a housing, at least a first bone milling tool, a proximal bearing sleeve, and a distal bearing sleeve. The housing defines a work chamber. The work chamber has a first axial end, a second axial end, a feed input opening, and an output opening. The bone milling tool is configured to be disposed within the work chamber, and extends at least from a first axial end to the second axial chamber. The proximal bearing sleeve is supported by the housing proximate the first axial end, and a distal bearing sleeve supported by the housing proximate the second axial end. The proximal bearing sleeve and the distal bearing sleeve support the bone milling tool and allow rotation of the bone milling tool within the work chamber about an axis.

  • Publication number: 20220323134
Abstract: An orthopedic surgical instrument or impactor is disclosed. The surgical instrument being configured to provide a first forward energy or motion to drive a surgical tool (e.g., a broach, a rasp, a cutting tool, etc.) and/or an orthopedic implant (e.g., an intramedullary nail, a stem, etc.) into a patient's bone and a second reverse energy or motion to, for example, remove a stuck or lodged surgical tool or implant from a patient's bone. In one embodiment, the surgical instrument incorporates dual springs and dual masses (impactors) to store and release energy on demand to deliver an impact force in both forward and reverse directions. In one embodiment, the surgical instrument may also include a forward energy adjuster and a reverse energy adjuster so that a user can independently adjust the amount of energy provided in the forward and reverse directions as well as a means to adjust impact frequency.

  • Publication number: 20210299288
Abstract: A virus attenuator includes: a housing defining an interior and having at least one intake port fluidly coupled to the interior and a gas ejection nozzle fluidly coupled to the interior, the gas ejection nozzle being configured to couple to a mask; and at least one heater disposed in the interior between the at least one intake port and the gas ejection nozzle such that at least some gas brought into the interior through the at least one gas intake port contacts the at least one heater. The at least one heater is configured to heat contacting gas to a virus attenuating temperature before the contacting gas exits the interior through the gas ejection nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5978474
Abstract: A linkage couples the coin return door of a coin telephone instrument to a cam mounted in the coin return chute. When the coin return door is opened in the normal manner by a customer to retrieve coins from the coin return hopper, the cam closes a contact of a microswitch that completes a circuit. After a normal coin retrieval the door closes and the switch contact returns to open. Such momentary switch closures are considered normal. However, if foreign matter has been stuffed into the coin return hopper by a fraudulent user, the material will be engaged by a comb at the end of the cam, preventing the coin return door from closing normally. When the door is prevented from closing normally and remains open for more than a few moments, the switch remains actuated, keeping the circuit closed for longer than normal thereby signaling the signaling the telephone company that the phone has been tampered with.
