  • Patent number: 10857977
Abstract: An apparatus includes a vehicle control system (VCS) coupled to a computer of a vehicle via a CAN bus and configured to present selectively appearance of a presence in the vehicle of a smartkey, e.g., by energizing and de-energizing an actual smartkey of the vehicle. The VCS includes a VCS and a Bluetooth® VCS transceiver. The VCS stores VCS software. The apparatus also includes a smartphone with a Bluetooth® transceiver, and storing an app. The mobile device is paired with the VCS to communicate with the VCS via a Bluetooth® link. The app configures the smartphone to receive menu selections from a user, to generate communications that identify smartkey-enabled features of the VCS that correspond to the selections, and to send to the VCS the communications through the link. The VCS software configures the VCS to receive the communications and cause the vehicle to perform actions corresponding to the communications.

  • Publication number: 20200349781
Abstract: In selected examples, a vehicle control system (VCS) includes Bluetooth beacons and an app running on a mobile device, such as a smartphone or a key fob equipped with movement sensors and a Bluetooth® transceiver. Passive keyless entry capability of the system uses received signal strength indications (RSSIs) together with movement-related indications of the movement sensors to determine when the mobile device moves away from the vehicle beyond a predetermined departure distance, and/or approaches the vehicle to within a predetermined arrival distance. When the user approaches the vehicle, the mobile device automatically transmits an arrival notification to the VCS, which automatically performs arrival actions, e.g., unlocking doors and disarming security features of the VCS/vehicle. When the user moves away from the vehicle, the mobile device automatically transmits a departures notification to the VCS, which performs departure actions, e.g.

  • Patent number: 10709342
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for measuring arterial and venous blood pulse waveforms (BPWs) of a subject utilizing photoplethysmography (PPG). In an embodiment, the system and method comprises: providing a plurality of virtual sensors positioned to cover a desired field-of-view of the subject, each virtual sensor adapted to detect and measure a BPW signal from an area of the subject's body and provide a BPW signal output; processing the BPW signal outputs of the plurality of virtual sensors to compare the BPWs at multiple areas of the subject's body to perform spatial perfusion analysis; and displaying at least one aggregate output based on the spatial perfusion analysis. At least one aggregate output may include a visualization of one or more perfusion patterns overlaid on a photographic image of the subject, and aggregate statistics including subject heart rate and breathing rate.

  • Patent number: 9775738
Abstract: A nasal dilator comprises magnets. The nasal dilator is a set comprising two bodies. Each of the two bodies has a first leg having at a distal portion thereof a magnet; and a second leg connected to the first leg via a bridge comprising flexible material. Each of the two bodies are designed so as to allow said body to be clamped to an ala nasi of a human nose between the distal portions of said first leg and said second leg. The magnets of the bodies are aligned such that with a body clamped to the ala nasi of a nose, the magnet is oriented at an angle to a plane defined by the ala nasi area clamped between said two distal portions of said first leg and second leg. Thanks to the repelling action of the magnets, the alae nasi are pushed apart, resulting in improved ease of breathing.
