    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mounting device for mounting an object to a vehicle. The vehicle has a tailgate and the mounting device comprises a mount for mounting the object to the mounting device. The mount comprises a rigid member on which the in use the object is mounted. Further, the mounting device comprises a coupling for coupling the mount to the tailgate of the vehicle. The coupling is arranged for removably coupling to the tailgate of the vehicle without requiring a structural modification of the tailgate.
