  • Patent number: 7656917
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for generating light pulses includes an electro-optical converter; a switching element; and a charge store. The electro-optical converter is connected to the charge store via the switching element. The closing of the switching element triggers a discharging process in the charge store and, in the process, generates an electrical pulse that is converted to a light pulse in the electro-optical converter. First and second impedance matching circuits are arranged, respectively, between the charge store and the switching element and between the switching element and the electro-optical converter.

  • Publication number: 20070164027
Abstract: A closure is provided for removably attached to the lip of a container. The closure includes a top preferably having at least on locking levers connected to the top with an elastically deformable hinge. The locking levers operate to releasably secure the closure to the container. The closure also includes a skirt with portions of the skirt located on opposite sides of the locking lever. A strap is located below the locking lever and defines a continuous ring around the base of the closure, thereby stiffening the closure.

  • Publication number: 20070095845
Abstract: A container cover for use with a container having a neck with a rim. The cover includes a lid with a spout hole, a skirt extending downward from the circumference of the lid, a concentric plug seal extending downward from the lid inside the skirt, a spout hole door hingeably connected to the lid, and at least one non-flexing lock and one flexing lock, each having an inwardly projecting wedge, which lock the cover in place on the container by engaging the bead ring. The nonflexing lock wedge is preferably shaped as a truncated teardrop and positioned so as to facilitate removing the lid. When the cover is locked on the container, the plug seal provides a seal against the inside of the container neck. The spout door seals the spout hole when closed and prevents unlatching of the flex lock when open.

  • Patent number: 7210593
Abstract: A cap with a tamper-evident ring is designed to snap engage a container that is provided with an upper and lower bead. A ring of teeth provided along an inside skirt of the cap engage teeth located along an inside wall of the container. When the cap is snapped onto the container, both sets of teeth automatically engage and a plug seal provided on the cap engages the container upper bead. By turning the cap clockwise or counterclockwise, the side angles of the teeth force the cap to disengage upwards over the upper bead and unsnap from the container. When the closure is opened for the first time, the ring breaks away from the cap and slides down the container below the lower bead, which keeps the ring from coming off the container and provides evidence that the cap had been opened.

  • Publication number: 20060070999
Abstract: The present invention is a top for a dispensing container. The top includes a base, a nozzle portion extending from a first end of the base, and a tab integrally formed with the nozzle portion at a neck down portion. The nozzle portion has an outer wall defining an internal conduit for passage of a liquid, powder and/or gel. The tab includes a tip end sealing the internal conduit and at least one shock absorbing portion. When the tab is twisted, the tip end is removed from the nozzle portion at the neck down portion, thereby opening the internal conduit. The shock absorbing portion can include a slot, an area with reduced thickness, a flex area, or a combination thereof. The top can be included on a container for storing liquids, powders and/or gels.
