  • Patent number: 6685395
Abstract: A dock fender, particularly for attachment to the outer face of a dock piling for cushioning vessels attached to the dock. The fender is of extruded construction, having laterally extending flanges which are conformable to the surface of the pilings. The fender is attached to the piling by lag screws applied to the flanges. Special washers, of rectangular configuration, are provided to underlie the heads of the lag screws. The washers are formed with anti-rotation means such that, after initial proper alignment of the washers with the fender flanges, the washers will retain such orientation during rotational tightening of the lag screws. In one form, the anti-rotation means comprises bent corners of individual washers. In another form, the washers are of a length to engage more than one lag screw.

  • Patent number: 4659869
Abstract: A novel clip-on shielding strip is disclosed, intended particularly for cabinets for electronic equipment such as computer apparatus, and the like, where it is necessary and/or desirable to provide access doors or panels and to effectively shield such doors or panels at the closure interfaces to prevent or reduce the escape of stray radio frequency and/or electromagnetic interference radiation. The new clip-on shielding strip is characterized by a specifically advantageous physical configuration which, on the one hand, simplifies and expedites installation in the first instance and, on the other hand, assures excellent electrical grounding of the strip to the current structure, providing a high degree of reliability in the shielding function of the strip.

  • Patent number: 4652695
Abstract: A high frequency RFI/EMI shielding strip is disclosed which comprises a strip of two-layer circular knit metal mesh material, which is folded around the exterior of a resilient core element. Projecting edge margins of the conductive mesh material are gripped and clamped by a continuously extending flange structure, forming an integral part of a continuous clip element. The structure eliminates the necessity for knitting the conductive mesh material in-situ about the resilient core. Exceptional cost savings result, without compromise in shielding performance.
