Abstract: An apparatus and method for the directing the discharge from an associated lawn mower includes an upper member operatively connected to the associated lawn mower, and having a first end for receiving the flow of material from the lawn mower, a bearing attached to the upper member and extending from an outer surface of the upper member, and a lower member rotatably connected to the upper member, the lower member having a channel near a first end for receiving the bearing, wherein the bearing slides along the channel as the lower member rotates relative to the upper member.

Abstract: A portable, removable tie-down apparatus includes telescoping shafts that can be locked in place at various heights. Arms extend from the shafts onto which ropes or straps can be tied. The post can be installed in a cargo hold area and the ropes tied around various articles to keep the articles from shifting during transportation. The post includes both course and fine adjustments for the height. The course adjustment is accomplished via a pin and holes formed in the telescoping shafts. The fine adjustment is accomplished via a threaded rod attached to a post foot member.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing a wheeled cart to a specific location in a parking lot comprises an elastomeric body member the body member has a top surface which includes inclined surfaces and the depression. Corner shoulders feature rounded outwardly facing surfaces and help direct swiveled wheels of shopping carts away from the corners and up the inclined surfaces into the depression. The body member is attached to the packing lot surface by means of butyl rubber mastic adhesive. The inclined surfaces can include slots to remove water from the depression.
