  • Patent number: 9353767
Abstract: A stator vane assembly for a gas turbine engine is disclosed and includes a plurality of vanes received within channels defined within a case. An anti-rotation plate extends from a flange of the case between adjacent ones of the plurality of vanes for preventing rotation of the plurality of vanes relative to the case.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 8, 2013
Date of Patent: May 31, 2016
    Assignee: United Technologies Corporation

  • Publication number: 20140182308
Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a turbine section, a compressor section, a bleed air collector box, and a v-band clamp. The compressor section is positioned upstream of the turbine section and includes a compressor case circumferentially surrounding the compressor section. The v-band clamp attaches the bleed air collector box to the compressor case.

  • Patent number: 6409472
Abstract: A stator assembly for a rotary machine having a shroud for a stator vane is disclosed. Various construction details are developed which limit movement of the stator vane into the flowpath by reason of the stator vane being restrained by the shroud. In one particular embodiment, a clip member extends through an opening in the tip of the vane and is disposed at a location adjacent a nonflowpath surface of the shroud to restrain the tip of the vane against inward movement through the shroud.

  • Patent number: 4453784
Abstract: Concentric, counterrotating shafts include means for bringing oil from within the inner shaft across an annular gap between the two shafts into oil scoops which rotate with the outer shaft. To minimize the splashing of oil as it travels across the annular gap between the two shafts a plurality of separate, circumferentially spaced apart oil compartments are disposed around the outer circumference of the inner shaft and rotate therewith. Oil from within the inner shaft travels radially outwardly through passageways in the shaft into the oil compartments whereupon the radial velocity of the oil is reduced to zero. The oil leaves the compartment through outlets and is slung across the gap between the shafts whereupon it is captured by oil scoops and is fed to its final destination, such as to a bearing race disposed radially outwardly of the outer shaft.
