  • Patent number: 10069746
Abstract: A technology is provided for reducing network congestion. A data loss rate pertaining to a datastream between a client and a server may be determined. The datastream may comprise data packets sent and received between the client and the server. The client and the server may send to and receive from each other data packets encoded using random linear network coding (RLNC) in response to determining that the data loss rate is higher than or equal to a threshold.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 16, 2015
Date of Patent: September 4, 2018

  • Publication number: 20140341200
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing signal interference in a highly dense wireless environment has a listener module, a response module, and a tracking module. The listener module receives, at a network access point affiliated with a collection of network SSIDs, an association request from a mobile device, the association request having a foreign network SSID. The response module sends an association response to the mobile device accepting the association request in response to receiving the association request, the response having a connection identifier. The tracking module updates the collection of one or more network SSIDs affiliated with the network access point with the foreign network SSID.

  • Publication number: 20140164637
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving multimedia content over a multicast enabled network includes a communications module, a stream assembly module, and a display module. The communications module receives and stores a plurality of multicast data packets pertaining to one or more video streams on a client device. The stream assembly module assembles at least a portion of the data packets pertaining to a video stream into a video stream. The display module displays an assembled video stream.
