Abstract: A cover for a side view mirror adapted to prevent precipitation such as snow or ice from accumulating thereon. The cover includes a pouch having a closed end, and open end, and an interior volume. The cover is sized so as to fit securely onto the side view mirror and fully encloses the same. The open end includes an elastic element therearound for use in securing the pouch onto a side view mirror, so that the pouch does not fall or slip off of the side view mirror. The pouch may be transparent and waterproof. Further, the pouch may include one or more layers, wherein an inner layer is insulative and an outer layer is waterproof. In this way, the present invention prevents precipitation from accumulating on the side view mirror.

Abstract: A sliding storage device which may be mounted between the frame rails of a truck. The sliding storage device includes sliding rails adapted for mounting in a substantially horizontal orientation to the bed of the truck and the frame rails of the truck. The sliding storage device having three sides and a bottom such that the top is open for placing materials in for storage. A first panel is hingedly attachable to the front of the sliding storage device for access to the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism secures the the sliding storage device in a closed position between the frame rails of a vehicle.

Abstract: Environmental formaldehyde can be detected and remediated in a biological system that incorporates a bacterial cell containing suitable genetic sequences encoding a formaldehyde-inducible regulatory system. The system includes a transcriptional promoter that can be specifically induced in the presence of formaldehyde to transcribe an operably linked gene.
