Publication number: 20240331075Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for identifying and matching requestors and providers. For example, embodiments can display an identification pattern that is unique for a matched requestor and provider to allow the providers and requestors to quickly, easily, and accurately validate one another's identities prior to a service being provided. In some embodiments, the identification element may be presented on a provider communication device to clearly display graphics associated with an identification element to all requestors in an area so that the requestors may easily identify a matched provider.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 10, 2024Publication date: October 3, 2024Inventors: Ethan Duncan Eyler, Taggart Matthiesen, Martin Conte Mac Donell, Jesse Jones McMillin, Sebastian Rolf Johan Brannstrom, Christopher Kuh, Sang Ik Lee, Nicholas Robert Barrett, Sean Patrick Murphy, Edward Stephen Lowe

Patent number: 12107702Abstract: A method/system monitors and controls operational aspects of devices in a space, for example a living, office or other human-occupied space or storage space, in a building, such as turning lights on/off, raising/lowering blinds, maintaining or changing temperature, and other operational aspects. Sensors monitor energy usage of the devices in the space, and a controller/engine compares the monitored energy usage with reference energy usage to validate whether the devices are performing as expected. A temperate set-versus-anomaly detection technique may use temperature set point adjustments by a user (during a timeframe) to determine whether an anomaly exists that requires changes in the central plant of the building.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2021Date of Patent: October 1, 2024Assignee: Innovative Building Technologies, LLCInventors: Arlan E. Collins, Mark L. Woerman, Eric Peter Hinckley, Stephen David Corcoran, Francis Leo Bushell, III, Bernard Robert Franza, Jr., Shawn Kahlil Cullingford, Jonathon Michael Best, Brett Andrew Barrett

Publication number: 20240254449Abstract: Organs-on-chips are microfluidic devices for culturing living cells in micrometer sized chambers in order to model physiological functions of tissues and organs. Engineered patterning and continuous fluid flow in these devices has allowed culturing of intestinal cells bearing physiologically relevant features and sustained exposure to bacteria while maintaining cellular viability, thereby allowing study of inflammatory bowl diseases. However, existing intestinal cells do not possess all physiologically relevant subtypes, do not possess the repertoire of genetic variations, or allow for study of other important cellular actors such as immune cells. Use of iPSC-derived epithelium, including IBD patient-specific cells, allows for superior disease modeling by capturing the multi-faceted nature of the disease.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2024Publication date: August 1, 2024Inventors: S. Jordan Kerns, Norman Wen, Carol Lucchesi, Christopher David Hinojosa, Jacob Fraser, Jefferson Puerta, Geraldine Hamilton, Robert Barrett, Clive Svendsen, Daniel Levner, Stephen R. Patent number: 12049930Abstract: A drivetrain assembly for a motor vehicle including a venting system. The drivetrain assembly includes an output shaft from a vehicle prime moreover component such as a transmission or transaxle. The output shaft is coupled to a propeller shaft through a constant velocity joint (CVJ) assembly. A flexible sealing boot encloses the CVJ between the output shaft and the propeller shaft. Internal components of the CVJ are vented by a first longitudinal passageway exposed to the internal volume of the CVJ extending longitudinally along the output shaft. A second radial passageway joins the longitudinal passageway and extends to the radially outer surface of the output shaft forming a second aperture. The passageways combine to provide pressure equalization between the CVJ internal volume and the atmosphere. An optional semi-permeable membrane may be mounted at the second aperture.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2021Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: NTN BEARING CORPORATION OF AMERICAInventors: Jon Robert Barrett, Krystil Elizabeth Edwards, Jonathan Allen Boarts, Ryan Christopher Matheny

Publication number: 20240042660Abstract: This document discloses a process for manufacturing recyclable injection molded microcellular foams for use in, footwear components, seating components, protective gear components, and watersport accessories, The process includes the steps of providing a thermoplastic polymer which comprises at least one monomer derived from depolymerized postconsumer plastic, inserting a fluid into a barrel of a molding apparatus. The fluid is introduced under temperature and pressure conditions to produce a super critical fluid. The process further includes mixing the thermoplastic polymer and super critical fluid so as to create a single phase solution, and injecting the single phase solution into a mold of an injection molding machine under gas counter pressure. The process further includes foaming the single phase solution by controlling the head and temperature conditions within the mold.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 24, 2021Publication date: February 8, 2024Applicant: O2 Partners, LLCInventors: Robert Falken, Glenn A.
