  • Publication number: 20240145099
Abstract: A respiratory disease analytics system provides respiratory disease risk reports to a patient, provider, or third-party entity describing a patient's risk of experiencing a medication usage event given data in a geographic region. Regional data, including air pollutant conditions, weather conditions, demographic information, built environment factors, and regional health conditions for a geographic region are accessed from other sources and assigned based on event data recorded during a medicament usage event, as collected by sensors associated with the patient's medicament device/s. The regional data is assigned to medicament usage events occurring within a period of time. The assigned regional data is analyzed to determine an expected number of medication usage events for the geographic region occurring over the period of time.

  • Patent number: 11952592
Abstract: Organs-on-chips are microfluidic devices for culturing living cells in micrometer sized chambers in order to model physiological functions of tissues and organs. Engineered patterning and continuous fluid flow in these devices has allowed culturing of intestinal cells bearing physiologically relevant features and sustained exposure to bacteria while maintaining cellular viability, thereby allowing study of inflammatory bowl diseases. However, existing intestinal cells do not possess all physiologically relevant subtypes, do not possess the repertoire of genetic variations, or allow for study of other important cellular actors such as immune cells. Use of iPSC-derived epithelium, including IBD patient-specific cells, allows for superior disease modeling by capturing the multi-faceted nature of the disease.

  • Publication number: 20240042660
Abstract: This document discloses a process for manufacturing recyclable injection molded microcellular foams for use in, footwear components, seating components, protective gear components, and watersport accessories, The process includes the steps of providing a thermoplastic polymer which comprises at least one monomer derived from depolymerized postconsumer plastic, inserting a fluid into a barrel of a molding apparatus. The fluid is introduced under temperature and pressure conditions to produce a super critical fluid. The process further includes mixing the thermoplastic polymer and super critical fluid so as to create a single phase solution, and injecting the single phase solution into a mold of an injection molding machine under gas counter pressure. The process further includes foaming the single phase solution by controlling the head and temperature conditions within the mold.

  • Publication number: 20240044546
Abstract: The invention is directed to systems and methods for providing a domestic hot water (DHW) priority refrigeration circuit in a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system including a storage tank, source heat exchanger (HXR), DHW HXR, load HXR, compressor, reversing valve, and DHW circulating pump, the method including: receiving at the DHW heat exchanger hot gas discharged from the compressor; determining if the DHW storage tank is below a set point temperature, and if so: activating the DHW circulating pump providing water from DHW HXR to the storage tank; condensing hot gas refrigerant by the DHW HXR to a warm liquid, traveling to the reversing valve, where if the HVAC system is in a heating mode, the reversing valve directs it to the load HXR and if the HVAC circuit is in a cooling mood the reversing valve directs it to the source HXR.

  • Publication number: 20230103985
Abstract: A face spline coupling for transmitting torque between a wheel end unit and a driven shaft arranged in a longitudinal axis of a drive-wheel arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a first face spline formed in the wheel end unit and a second face spline formed in the driven shaft. The first face spline is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and faces the driven shaft, and the second face spline is also generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and faces the wheel end unit. The first and second face splines are meshed together and detachably coupled by inter-fitting teeth of each of the first and second face splines. In addition, the teeth in each of the first and second face splines are formed in a helical configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230109000
Abstract: A drivetrain assembly for a motor vehicle including a venting system. The drivetrain assembly includes an output shaft from a vehicle prime moreover component such as a transmission or transaxle. The output shaft is coupled to a propeller shaft through a constant velocity joint (CVJ) assembly. A flexible sealing boot encloses the CVJ between the output shaft and the propeller shaft. Internal components of the CVJ are vented by a first longitudinal passageway exposed to the internal volume of the CVJ extending longitudinally along the output shaft. A second radial passageway joins the longitudinal passageway and extends to the radially outer surface of the output shaft forming a second aperture. The passageways combine to provide pressure equalization between the CVJ internal volume and the atmosphere. An optional semi-permeable membrane may be mounted at the second aperture.

  • Patent number: 11140063
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for using machine learning to dynamically detect physical impairments in lines of a subscriber network. In some implementations, per-tone data for a line of a subscriber network and data indicating a set of one or more scores is obtained. Each score included in the set of scores indicates a conditional likelihood that the line has a type of impairment with respect to a different feature subset ensemble. The per-tone data and the data indicating the set of one or more scores is provided as input to a model. The model is trained to output, for each of different sets of feature subset ensembles, a confidence score representing an overall likelihood that a particular line has a physical impairment. Data indicating a particular confidence score representing an overall likelihood that the line has the physical impairment is obtained. The particular confidence score is provided for output.

  • Patent number: 11104466
Abstract: Robotic pick-and-place automation is used to transfer oral solid pharmaceuticals from moveable trays or canisters. Sensors are used to verify that the pharmaceuticals have been properly placed in the desired pharmaceutical locations precisely according to the patient prescription data. A pharmacist places pharmaceutical products within dispensing trays or canisters to present the pharmaceutical products for picking and placing via the robotic pick-and-place machinery. Once the canister or tray is located adjacent the pick-and-place device, a sensor or imaging unit associated with the pick-and-place device verifies that the pharmaceutical product, the size, shape, and/or color of an expected pharmaceutical product that is to be placed within the packaging material in accordance with patient prescription data stored by a computer associated with the system.
