  • Patent number: 8636384
Abstract: Provided is a laser dazing apparatus shaped as a pistol having an encasement formed by a elongated barrel (114) joined to a handle (117), together forming an encasement. The barrel (114) has a forward end and a rear end, and the handle (117) is connected to the barrel (114) towards the barrel's rear end. The barrel encasement (114) also includes an adapter ring (111) with a focusing fixture (112) for controlling divergence of radiation produced by the device. The apparatus also includes various indicators, a laser generator, a least one battery for electrical power, and a plurality of control circuits controlling the laser generation device, battery, indicators and switches. The apparatus also includes a focus range adjuster (105).

  • Publication number: 20110042119
Abstract: A flash-lamp envelope for a solid state flash lamp pumped laser in which the flash-lamp envelope is an extrusion-shaped optically transparent housing designed to act both as a glass sealing envelope and an optical coupler, efficiently transferring radiation from the flash lamp to a solid lasing rod.

  • Publication number: 20110040377
Abstract: A compound micro lens having a multiplicity of micro-lenses on a common substrate, with the micro-lenses having a multiplicity of focal lengths. Having a multiplicity of focal lengths allows the compound micro lens to be used in cataract surgery to replace human eye lens and still allow the patient to focus at different depths without the need for multiple pairs of glasses or other aids.

  • Patent number: 4303426
Abstract: An air filter, particularly adapted for use in internal combustion engines, eliminates the necessity of discarding the entire air filter when the filter element becomes clogged to the extent that its efficiency is reduced below acceptable levels. The air filter of the invention incorporates a readily removable and replaceable filter element disclosed in a preferred embodiment as an inexpensive length of paper, accordion pleated in a manner to permit it to be folded into a highly compact product until ready for use. In use, the element is extended to partially open the pleats or folds, providing maximum filter area. The element in use is confined in a hollow annular assembly composed of confronting rings preferably of neoprene rubber or its equivalent, and further composed of foraminous retaining elements extending between the rings. Replacement of a filter element is readily achieved by removal of one of the rings, providing access to the filter element chamber.
