Abstract: A system and method for playing a sequence of items including certain selected items of content. A media player operating on a computing device plays the content that is received over a network from a content server. The user controls the media player using a user interface, and further controls the content that is desired. An auto-content selector allows the user to select content related to a particular subject matter like weather and traffic that is automatically added to the sequence of items to be played based on detected information about the user such as the user's location.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for creating a personal radio or television station for broadcasting over the Internet includes a user logging onto a dedicated server on the Internet, creating a personal account associated with memory storage and a unique companion webpage address, selecting audio and or video content from predetermined server play lists including news, music, sports, weather, traffic, emergency and civic announcements. The server operator secures licenses from content providers for rebroadcast rights. The user may also upload personal audio or video content to the server. The user creates his own playlist for broadcast which may include server content or his own personal content. A ‘live mode’ is also presented where a user may stream live audio and or video content from his own broadcast studio to the server for rebroadcast over the webpage. Streaming protocols are used to broadcast content to multiple listeners and prevent copyright violations.

Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus for accessing data-driven websites and applications on a mobile client device are described. A request for a website received from the mobile client device is transmitted to a provider. At least one web page template of the website and application data corresponding to the at least one web page template is received from the provider in response to the request, and is transmitted to the mobile client device. Thereafter, in an offline mode, the mobile client device can display a plurality of web pages corresponding to the website, each web page displaying corresponding data of the application data formatted according to a common format provided by the at least one web page template. Furthermore, a method, system, and apparatus for tracking the usage of applications on a mobile client device is provided. The occurrence of at least one user initiated event on the mobile client device during offline operation is enabled.
