  • Patent number: 11952818
Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a first hinged body, a pivot pin assembly, and a second hinged body. The first hinged body includes a channel. The pivot pin assembly includes a pin body configured to slideably engage the channel. The pivot pin assembly may be translated within the channel and adjustably secured along the channel. The pin body includes a downwardly extending pin. The second hinged body comprises a pin aperture configured to cooperatively receive the pin. The first hinged body and the second hinged body are configured to hingedly pivot along a hinge axis defined by the pin when the pin is received in the pin aperture. The pin body may include a pin body aperture configured to receive an alignment fastener such that the pin body may be tilt adjusted relative to the first hinged body.

  • Publication number: 20240059319
Abstract: A method for generating a trajectory for a vehicle based on an abstract space of control parameters associated with the vehicle may include applying a machine learning model to determine an abstract space representation of the trajectory, which includes a sequence of control parameters associated with the vehicle. For instance, application of the machine learning model may include performing a search of the abstract space parameterized by control parameters that include derivatives of the position of the vehicle. Examples of control parameters include velocity, acceleration, jerk, and snap. A physical space representation of the trajectory may be determined by at least mapping the sequence of control parameters to a sequence of positions for the vehicle. A motion of the vehicle may be controlled based at least on the physical space representation of the trajectory. Related systems and computer program products are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220101155
Abstract: Enclosed are embodiments for trajectory generation using a road network model. In an embodiment, a method includes: obtaining, using at least one processor of a vehicle, a location of the vehicle; obtaining, using the at least one processor, sensor data collected at the location; obtaining, using the at least one processor, map data for the location; generating, using the one or more processors, at least on possible trajectory for at least one object at the location, wherein the possible trajectory is constrained in accordance with the map data; and predicting, using a machine learning model, a score for the at least one trajectory.

  • Patent number: 9156672
Abstract: The system includes a spout and a portable handheld activator insertable around the spout. The spout includes a valve member made of a magnetically-conductive material. The valve member is movable between a closed position and an opened position so as to close or open a fluid passage inside the spout. The spout also includes a core plate made of a magnetically-conductive material. The activator includes a housing made of a magnetically-conductive material, and at least one coil located into the housing to selectively generate an electromagnetic field capable of moving the valve member to the opened position against a spring force biasing the valve member into the closed position. In use, the spout and the activator are configured and disposed so that the electromagnetic field, using only a relatively small amount of electrical energy, creates a substantially uninterrupted toric magnetic circuit for actuating the valve member.

  • Publication number: 20110096975
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for identifying microparticles or features arranged in high density arrays. Using the techniques of the present teachings allow for effective discrimination and characterization of microparticles such as sequencing beads or features having densities of about 39×106 particles/cm2 or more. In certain embodiments, such identification can be achieved via use of two or more images corresponding to respective subsets of the microparticles or features. In certain embodiments, microparticles in each such subset can be configured with a target that hybridizes with a labeled probe, thereby resulting in the corresponding image having lower density of objects to identify.

  • Patent number: 4986373
Abstract: A post hole digger and a method of implanting a post in the ground. A boring implement having a piercing free end and also having an attachment flange is secured to an end portion of a post to be implanted in the ground. The implement has a tapered body section with a projecting serrated edge on opposed sides thereof. The serrated edges extend angularly from a common longitudinal plane and in opposed angular directions. A pipe section is secured to the implement and a garden hose is connected thereto whereby to direct a stream of water in the direction of said piercing free end whereby axial rotation and counter-rotation of said post causes the implement to bore into the ground to cause said post to descend in a bore hole. After the post is implanted the garden hose is disconnected from the pipe section by applying a pulling force on the hose.
