Abstract: A modular contact assembly for transferring electrical energy from a fixed object to a rotating object, and a machine tool that includes the contact assembly. The machine tool may include a housing, a rotating spindle mounted in the housing, and an electrical device mounted in the rotating spindle. The contact assembly includes a mounting plate joinable to a housing by movement of the plate into an attached position on the housing; a first brush assembly, first and second electrical contacts disposed in the mounting plate, an actuator joined to the mounting plate, and a first energy supply connection disposed in the mounting plate and in communication with the actuator. The machine tool may also include a magnet that is rotatable a quarter turn to retain the contact assembly in the machine tool. The electrical device may be an ultrasonic transducer operable to perform ultrasonic machining by the tool.

Abstract: A portable outdoor water purifier includes a water absorption base, a filter element assembly, an electronic control assembly, and a filter container. The filter element assembly is installed in the filter container. The water absorption base is mounted to a lower end of the filter container. The water absorption base is connected with the filter element assembly. The electronic control assembly is mounted to an upper end of the filter container. The electronic control assembly includes a water outlet seat. Through the water absorption base and the filter element assembly, outdoor water can be filtered and sterilized layer by layer for a user to quickly get a large number of virus-free, bacteria-free, pollution-free safe drinking water in the wild, with high safety factor. This is an effective solution to the demand of drinking water for the outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Abstract: A headband for use in a headgear support includes a first end section having a plurality of spaced connectors and a second end section including a fastener attached adjacent the end thereof. The fastener includes a connecting member to which at least one cooperating connector is attached. The connecting member biases the cooperating connector in an engagement position with at least one of the plurality of connectors of the first end section to hold the headband in a selected loop configuration. The fastener further includes at least a first flexible release member.

Abstract: An ultraviolet water disinfection system in which the power source to operate the system is human motion. The human power source is any form of repetitive motion such as pedaling, stepping, cranking, winding, shaking, etc. This repetitive motion is converted to electrical energy of sufficient magnitude to power a small water disinfection system using ultraviolet irradiation principles.
