    Abstract: An air-ducting component includes a wall which provides an airtight delimitation for an interior space from an exterior space surrounding the component. The wall includes at least a first layer of a prepreg material extending as a surface. The prepreg material includes a fabric extending as a surface and being impregnated with a resin composition. In at least the first layer, the fabric is a spread tow fabric, which contains respective spread tapes of fibers. The tapes are woven together in a weave. A method for producing the component includes integrating the spread tow fabric as the fabric into the wall in at least the first layer. The spread tow fabric is used in the component and/or the method.
