Patent number: 8448670Abstract: A hose for use in bio-pharmaceutical applications includes an innermost tubular layer made from a fluoropolymer material. The tubular layer has an inner, relatively smooth and pure surface that defines an opening for transfer of various media. A layer of silicone is disposed next to an outer surface of the innermost tubular layer through use of, for example, an extrusion method. The outer surface of the tubular layer may first be modified by various treatments or chemicals to facilitate the adhesion of the silicone layer thereto. The silicone material may be solid or foamed. A reinforcement layer may be disposed adjacent to an outer surface of the silicone layer. The reinforcement layer may be formed of a wire braid having gaps. An outer jacket of silicone may be attached to the reinforcement layer and to the inner silicone layer through the gaps in the reinforcement layer.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2011Date of Patent: May 28, 2013Assignee: Swagelok CompanyInventor: Robert Bentley

Patent number: 6219953Abstract: A clip loading tool is provided for loading cartridges into a clip of a gun. The tool comprises a digit securing means for accommodating a digit of the user and a protrusion to enable the user to exert downward force on the casing of each of the individual cartridges by means of the user's digit, usually the thumb, to facilitate the loading of ammunition into the gun clip or magazine.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 1994Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Inventor: Robert Bentley

Patent number: 4996461Abstract: A system for improving the operation of a cathode ray tube (CRT) is disclosed whereby interference caused by external magnetic fields is mitigated. The system comprises a CRT having a CRT magnetic shield housing and at least one electromagnetic field sensor disposed adjacent to the inner surface of the CRT housing. Sensors form to generate a reference magnetic field and to generate a sensor output signal in response to the detection of both the reference field and an external field as sensed within the housing. A bucking field coil drive circuit is provided in electrical communication with the field sensor, the drive circuit being operative to generate a bucking field coil drive signal responsive to the field sensor output signal. A bucking field coil is disposed circumferentially about the CRT and is driven by the bucking field coil drive signal.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 1989Date of Patent: February 26, 1991Assignee: Hughes Aircraft CompanyInventor: Robert Bentley
