  • Patent number: 4138479
Abstract: A water soluble immunopotentiating agent is derived from yeast cell wall material, including mechanically disrupted yeast cell walls, proteolyzed yeast cell wall material and carbohydrate-protein complexes found in yeast cell wall material, through extraction with a water-phenol mixture. The water soluble agent is isolated from the water phase and can be further purified, as through dialysis, to remover low molecular weight components.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 12, 1977
Date of Patent: February 6, 1979
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 3932409
Abstract: 2-Phenyl-4(3H)-quinazolones bearing a urethane or thiourethane group on the 2-phenyl substituent, a second urethane or thiourethane group on the benzo ring of the quinazolone nucleus and an alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl group in the 3-position are prepared by treating the corresponding bis-amino compound with an acid derivative or the corresponding bis(isocyanate) or bis(isothiocyanate) with an alcohol. The compounds, of which 2-[3'-(methoxycarbonylamino)-phenyl]-3-phenyl-6-methoxycarbonylamino-4-(3H )-quinazolone is a typical embodiment, are cytostatic agents.
