  • Patent number: 11941425
Abstract: The disclosed technology teaches tuning containers in pods, in a high availability environment that runs two or more pods to implement a service, while the containers are running, including instrumenting a tunable container to communicate application metrics to a tuning engine that runs in a pod and maintains current configuration state information for the container. The tuning engine accesses the application metrics and a rule that specifies tuning of resource configuration for the container. The rule combines variables in the metrics to determine whether an update should be applied to the container. The tuning engine determines a new resource configuration for the tunable container and updates the configuration state information for the container according to the new configuration. An update manager detects updating of the configuration state information and performs a rolling update of instances of the tunable container in the pods that implement the service.

  • Patent number: 9073945
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for the treatment or prophylaxis of thrombotic disorders comprising administration of alpha-IIB-beta-3 inhibitor compounds and compositions containing the compounds. The methods of the invention are useful for the treatment or prophylaxis of thrombotic disorders, including stroke, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, peripheral vascular disease, abrupt closure following angioplasty or stent placement and thrombosis as a result of vascular surgery.

Inventors: Robert Blue, Barry S. Coller
  • Patent number: 8388255
Abstract: A connector assembly for connecting two members that allows manual lockdown to prevent accidental disengagement. The connector assembly can be used to connect a tension ring to a housing on a riser by using a lower set of hydraulically actuated dogs. A set of upper hydraulically actuated dogs on the connector assembly can be used to connect the tension ring to a diverter housing mounted on a rig. The connector assembly also has position indicators that ride along with the dogs to indicate whether the dogs are in the engaged or disengaged position.
