Abstract: A cable adjustment device for a Bowden cable having a control cable displaceable within a cable casing for a bicycle component. The adjustment device includes a guide element axially and rotationally fixed to the bicycle component and has a control cable bore therethrough. An adjustment element is rotationally fixed and axially displaceable in the guide element. The adjustment element has an abutment for engaging the cable casing. The adjustment device also includes an actuation element. The adjustment element is threadably coupled relative to the actuation element for converting the rotational movement of the actuation element into the axial movement of the adjustment element.

Abstract: A tropicalizing agent including a liquid fat component and a plurality of gel beads that include a sugar or polyol in an amount of about 20 to 50 weight percent of the gel beads, an emulsifier component to facilitate uniform gel bead distribution, and the remainder being water present in an amount sufficient to ensure that the sugar or polyol is present in aqueous form. Preferably, the liquid fat component is present in an amount sufficient to disperse the gel beads therein and wherein a majority of the gel beads remain substantially intact for at least about 4 hours after being cooled below about 30° C. Methods of making tropicalizing agents and using the agents to tropicalize chocolate products or analogues thereof, as well as the resultant chocolate or chocolate analogue articles, are also included.

Abstract: The invention relates to a trigger shifter with virtually no takeup distance during the takeup process. In its original position, the takeup pawl is located in the immediate vicinity of the transport tooth set, such that the takeup pawl and takeup lever do not need to cover a takeup distance. In the release process, the takeup pawl, which is in the ready position to engage, is moved out of the region of the transport tooth set by means of a connecting link, preferably a shackle spring, and subsequently the retaining pawl is disengaged so that so that the cable coil can be rotated by the prestressed cable pull without any obstacles. In addition to its function of controlling the takeup pawl, the shackle spring can also provide initial tension in the retaining direction to the sliding element with the retaining pawl.

Abstract: A bicycle shifter configured to be adjustable to accommodate a variety of sized hands. The shifter includes a housing, a cable spool for pulling and releasing a control cable, pull and cable release lever mechanisms and a clamp for mounting the shifter to a handlebar. The cable pull lever mechanism includes a cable pull lever and a driver element operatively connected to the cable spool. The release mechanism includes a cable release lever. The cable pull lever is attachable to the driver element at various orientations to vary the position of the cable pull lever relative to the cable release lever. The clamp is attachable to the shifter housing at different positions to vary the pull and cable release levers relative to the handgrip element on the handlebar.

The inner pipe bears against the inner wall of main pipe and the connection piece such that the inner pipe is positioned on the extreme right portion or on the extreme left portion of the main pipe and the connection piece, with regard to the direction of the flow of water.
