The trigger is moveable between a first position and a second position relative to the housing. The flip drive is moveable between a neutral position, a first drive position, and a second drive position. The drive assembly moves relative to the housing when the flip drive is in the first drive position and the trigger is moved from its first position to its second position.

The orienting member is attached to the housing. The actuator is attached to the orienting member and is moveable between an actuator first position and an actuator second position. The first elongate member is attached to the orienting member and defines a lumen. The first elongate member is moveable between a first, substantially straight configuration when the actuator is in the actuator first position and a second, curved configuration when the actuator is in the actuator second position. The second elongate member is disposed through the passageway of the housing and extends through the lumen defined by the first elongate member. The second elongate member is rotatable relative to the first elongate member.

The passageway of the tip is aligned with the passageway of the sheath such that the implanted structure is receivable therein. The tip body distal end includes a segment tapering toward a leading edge. A disrupter element, such as a plurality of helices, is disposed along the outer surface of the tip body distal end. The disruptor element is configured for non-cuttingly disrupting the obstruction as the tip is advanced over the implanted structure.

The first locking member is frictionally engageable with the second locking member by sliding the outer sheath longitudinally along the operating wire until the first locking member contacts the second locking member. The operating wire is prevented from moving longitudinally with respect to the outer sheath when the first locking member is frictionally engaged with the second locking member.

    Abstract: A snare for deployment or retrieval of an implantable medical apparatus. The snare includes a shaft, and a tip distal of the shaft. The tip includes an extendable member capable of self-centering the implantable apparatus during a deployment or retrieval. The extendable member is selectively receivable in the tip, distally extendable from the tip, and rotatable relative to the tip. An activatable handle is engaged with the shaft. A wire has an end engaged with the handle and an end engaged with the tip. Upon activation, the wire is urged in a proximal direction, resulting in a flexure of the tip. An elongated mechanism has a proximal portion engaged with the handle, and a distal portion engaged with the tip extendable member. The elongated mechanism is configured for selectively controlling the receiving, deploying, and rotating of the extendable member.

    Abstract: A delivery system for an implantable member includes an elongated dilator splittable at both the proximal and distal ends. The dilator has a tapered distal end and a pair of tabs at the proximal end. An introducer for the implantable member is received in a passageway of the dilator and extends along a length of the dilator to the tapered distal end. The introducer is arranged relative to the dilator such that upon a relative proximal movement of the dilator, the tapered distal tip of the dilator splits whereby the distal end of the introducer extends therethrough. A handle has a gripping mechanism for engagement with each tab for initiating proximal movement of the dilator relative to the introducer upon rotation of the gripping mechanism. The handle is structured for splitting the dilator proximal portion upon the relative proximal movement of the dilator.
