Abstract: An aircraft, system, and method for sensing and/or releasing chemical agents by an aircraft is disclosed. The aircraft, system, and method may employ a chemical sensor, a wind sensor, an imaging device for capturing environmental features, and/or a processor operably coupled therewith. The processor may be used for collecting data from the chemical sensor, the wind sensor, and the imaging device to identify a navigational waypoint and to provide commands to the chemical sensor or to the aircraft based at least in part on collected data.

Abstract: A performance monitoring system for an electric drive system includes a speed controller configured to operatively couple a power source to an electric motor. The performance monitoring system also includes a plurality of sensors to measure performance metrics associated with the power source, the speed controller and the electric motor. The performance monitoring system additionally includes a health/performance monitoring system comprising a processor and a data storage device. The health/performance monitoring system is configured to determine an efficiency of operation and health of the electric drive system based on the measured performance metrics.

Abstract: Provided is a material-inspection system for planning a cutting pattern for a composite material sheet based on a detected defect. The system comprises one or more sensors to measure one or more material properties of the composite material sheet; a cutter assembly having a cutter tool to cut the composite material sheet; a control system comprising a processor and a storage medium comprising instructions, that when executed by the processor, configured to: obtain an initial cutting pattern for the composite material sheet, wherein the initial cutting pattern comprises a plurality of shapes to be cut; determine a defect in the composite material based on a sensor; determine a reject region in the composite material around the defect; shift one or more shapes of the plurality of shapes away from the reject region; and provide a revised cutting pattern based on the shifting to be cut by the cutter assembly.
