  • Publication number: 20070125102
Abstract: The refrigerant charge adequacy of an air conditioning system is determined by the sensing of two temperatures in the system, one being at a midpoint in a condenser coil and the other being the temperature in the liquid line of the condenser discharge, with the difference then being indicative of the degree of subcooling, which, in turn, may be indicative of refrigerant charge condition. The method is refined by measuring a third temperature at the compressor discharge, with the three temperature values then being used to calculate a pair of residual values which provide an indication of whether the two temperature approach is useful in determining charge adequacy under the existing conditions and if not, whether the system is overcharged or undercharged.

  • Publication number: 20070054972
Abstract: Single component compositions for making a moisture-cured polyurethane foam are disclosed. Foam produced from the compositions of the present invention produce very low foaming pressure due to their 60-95 percent open-cell content. After these compositions are applied and cure, they form a permanent seal around the perimeter of installed fenestration products.

  • Publication number: 20060137364
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the sufficiency of refrigerant charge in an air conditioning system by the use of only two temperature measurements. The temperature of the liquid refrigerant leaving the condenser coil is sensed and the temperature of the condenser coil itself is sensed and the difference between these two measurements is calculated to provide an indication of the adequacy of refrigerant charge in the system. This process is refined by steps taken to eliminate measurements during transient operations and by filtering signals to eliminate undesirable noise. A permitted threshold of deviation is calculated by using probability theory.

  • Publication number: 20050257704
Abstract: This invention uses a combination of a rotor (rotating) component of an electromagnet motor that is integrated as part of a driven rotational load and immersed within an longer stator (stationary) component of the motor allowing for axial motion of the load (rotor) independent of the motor stator and housing. An alternative covered by this disclosure is a rotor that is longer relative to the length of the stator. The directly driven load provides improved rigidity for torque transmission and superior control performance. The axial motion capability lends itself to other functions such as printing sleeve removal for exchange purposes in a flexographic press.

  • Patent number: 6899380
Abstract: A sunshade for a motor vehicle roof (2) with a shade screen (5) which can be wound onto a winding rod (6) and which is located underneath the roof, the opposing side edges of the shade screen are movably guided in the direction of shade motion on guide rails (7) and are held in the transverse direction with pre-tensioning of the shade screen (5). To produce pretension in the transverse direction without tensioning elements or bars which are permanently attached to the shade screen and which would hinder rewinding, it is provided that the engagement elements, which are guided on the guide rails (7), can be coupled to the side edges of the length (5) of shade when it is unwound to keep the length (5) of shade pre-tensioned in the transverse direction, so that the sunshade (4) located under an arched vehicle roof (2) can follow the arch of the roof, but can be disengaged for the shade screen (5) as it is wound onto the winding rod so as to enable the shade screen to be wound more compactly.
