  • Publication number: 20250242785
Abstract: An electric vehicle steering system including a vehicle controller, steering controller, braking controller, and a steering actuator. The vehicle controller, in cooperation with the steering and braking controllers, is responsible for collecting and processing various vehicle conditions to determine a braking application. The steering controller, linked to steering actuators, executes braking application instructions from the vehicle controller. The braking controller, connected to the vehicle's braking system, executes instructions to apply brakes as needed.

  • Publication number: 20250196650
Abstract: An electric vehicle control system, including a vehicle controller, power controller, braking controller, and a steering controller. The vehicle controller, which is operably coupled to the power and braking controllers, is configured to collect and process various vehicle conditions to determine optimal torque distribution and braking application. The power controller, which is linked to electric motors, is configured to execute torque distribution instructions from the vehicle controller. The braking controller, which is connected to the vehicle's braking system, is configured to execute instructions to apply brakes as needed. The braking application instructions instruct the braking system to apply a braking force to one or more wheels in response to the vehicle conditions and the torque distribution instructions instruct the one or more motors to increase or decrease torque in response to the vehicle conditions.

  • Publication number: 20250196616
Abstract: An electric vehicle propulsion, steering, and suspension system including an in-wheel motor located within or proximate to a tire assembly, an integrated inverter, a direct steering motor, a brake-by-wire system, and a double wishbone suspension. The double wishbone suspension includes an upper wishbone arm and a lower wishbone arm, each having proximal and distal end points. The proximal end points are pivotally connected to the vehicle chassis. The distal end points are connected to a knuckle assembly attached to the tire assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240166025
Abstract: An electrical heating system for a vehicle. The system includes: a transparent metallic layer configured to be mounted to a transparent material, conduct electrical current, and increase in temperature to heat the transparent material in response to electrical current running across the transparent metallic layer; a power supply; a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system configured to heat and cool a passenger cabin of the vehicle; and a control module. The control module is configured to: apply voltage from the power supply to the transparent metallic layer to heat the transparent material; and apply voltage from the power supply to a component of the HVAC system to heat the component of the HVAC system.

  • Patent number: 10626838
Abstract: A temperature control system for an engine. The system includes a thermal storage expansion tank defining a thermally insulated interior volume for storing engine coolant. The system further includes a pump that pumps engine coolant that has exited the thermal storage expansion tank back into the thermally insulated interior volume of the thermal storage expansion tank and forces air out of the thermal storage expansion tank to store coolant in the thermally insulated interior volume when the engine is off.

  • Patent number: 9416721
Abstract: A structure for separating condensate formed in a charge-air-cooler of a turbocharged engine system. The structure may include ribs that catch and direct condensate away from the outlet. The structure may also include a deflector and water dam that prevents condensation from exiting the charge-air-cooler outlet. The condensate maybe be collected and simply drained to outside of the vehicle.
