The controller is further configured to receive third information corresponding to a height of overhead obstacle positioned external to the vehicle and to compare at least one of the first information and the second information to the third information. A force sensor on the exterior door handle detects impact forces on the handle. The door also includes an unlatch switch that can be actuated by a user to request unlatching of the powered latch.
