  • Publication number: 20050171716
Abstract: System for testing attenuators by a flatness and standing wave ratio tests which includes a vector network analyzer (VNA) adapted to be coupled to a device under test (DUT) and which provides an input stimulus signal for the DUT and, when certain conditions are satisfied, receives an output signal from the DUT, and a calibration receiver adapted to be coupled to the DUT via a down-converter. When certain conditions are satisfied, the output signal from the DUT is sent to the calibration receiver (through the down-converter to be possibly modified thereby depending on the testing frequency). A signal generator provides a local oscillator (LO) signal for the down-converter. A control unit is connected to the instruments and embodies software which analyzes the testing conditions, i.e., the attenuator value being tested, and selects whether the network analyzer or the calibration receiver will measure the output signal from the DUT.

  • Publication number: 20050141035
Abstract: System and method for creating and processing documents with variable data is disclosed. The system provides a base set of document image data residing at a first location. The base set of document image data, such as rasterized image data or image data organized in a mixed raster content (“MRC”) layer format, represents a first portion of information for a document that may not change. Further, the system obtains another set of document image data residing at a second location. The other set of document image data, which may again be rasterized image data or image data organized in an MRC layer format, represents a second portion of information for the document that may change. The system combines the base set of document image data with the other set of document image data to form a combined set of document image data for the document.

  • Patent number: 6789222
Abstract: A method that finds all test vectors for all detectable single stuck-at faults in a combinational circuit during a single pass through the circuit sorts a netlist into circuit-level order, provides a library of fault-propagation and path-enabling rules for the circuit's logic elements, begins at the level of the primary inputs, and applies the rules, one logic element at a time, circuit-level-by-circuit-level until the entire circuit has been processed. The resulting fault-propagation functions for each output line define every combination of primary input signals that makes a fault detectable at that output line. In another embodiment, the method determines the highest circuit level at which each signal is used, and releases storage being used for previously computed fault-propagation functions and path-enabling functions for any signal having no further uses. The elimination of no longer needed stored information permits the method to handle larger circuits given finite resources.

  • Patent number: 6490711
Abstract: A method for creating test benches for digital circuit design verification (1) partitions a design for purposes of test bench creation according to circuit type, (2) identifies circuit types and creates packaged testing strategies, (3) uses ATPG techniques to create comprehensive test sequences based on the circuit type classifications, and (4) incorporates the ATPG-produced test stimuli and expected responses into the test bench templates.

  • Publication number: 20020078424
Abstract: A method for creating test benches for digital circuit design verification includes the steps of: (1) Partitioning a design for purposes of test bench creation according to circuit type, e.g., FSM's, data paths, counters, shift registers, and the like. (2) Identifying circuit types and creating packaged testing strategies, i.e., test bench templates, for each identified type. (3) Using ATPG-like techniques to create comprehensive test sequences based on the circuit-type classifications, e.g., using an adder testing strategy for creating test vectors for an adder, an FSM testing strategy for creating a test sequence for an FSM, a counter or shift register testing strategy, etc. (4) Incorporating the ATPG-produced test stimuli and expected responses into the test bench templates. And (5) integrating these methods into standard VLSI test bench creation tools to augment available test bench design techniques.
