Patent number: 7747572Abstract: A method and system for supply chain product and process development collaboration. The supply chain is comprised of at least one project, each project having a part (or family of parts), a supplier of the part, and a customer. The system may include a data storage and retrieval device operably connected to a processor. The system's functions include collaboration tools and security based on the users' project roles. The method uses a methodology that ensures certain requirements are met prior to satisfying the methodology. The system and method of the present invention ensures that current, applicable methodologies are applied to a specific part and allows for collaboration between the customer and supplier during all phases of the project. Because all projects in a supply chain are present, a user can navigate throughout the supply chain. The supply chain's reporting functions permit determination of potential performance risks and the source thereof.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2001Date of Patent: June 29, 2010Assignee: Waypoint Global II, Inc.Inventors: Steve Toren Scott, William A. Publication number: 20050046651Abstract: An apparatus and method for ink-jet printing onto an intermediate drum in a helical pattern while correcting for image skew and aliasing. A plurality of ink-jet print heads place an image on an intermediate drum, impervious to ink, in a helical patter. To compensate for helical printing, the image is altered by nozzle placement and image manipulation to correct for skewing errors, and thereafter, the nozzle timing is adjusted to correct for aliasing. The plurality of print heads move parallel to the axis of rotation of the drum while the drum is simultaneously rotating, causing the image to be placed in a helical pattern. Once the entire image is placed on the drum, paper is rolled against the drum under pressure and the image is transferred thereto.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2003Publication date: March 3, 2005Inventors: Benjamin Askren, Robert Burdick, Bill Chappel, Christopher Chee, William Cook, David Cseledy, Larry Foster, James Harden, William Klein

Publication number: 20020052862Abstract: A method and system for supply chain product and process development collaboration. The supply chain is comprised of at least one product, where each project is defined as a part (or family of parts), a supplier to supply the part, and a customer to be supplied the part. In one embodiment, the system includes a data storage and retrieval devise to hold project data, which, for each project, includes a project identifier, a part identified, a supplier identifier, a customer identifier, data representative of a methodology applicable to the project, and data representative of at least one control associated with processing of the project. The system and method of the present invention ensures that current methodologies applicable to a project are applied, and allows for collaboration between the customer and supplier during all phases of product and process design, development, and manufacture.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 9, 2001Publication date: May 2, 2002Applicant: Powerway, Inc.Inventors: Steve Toren Scott, William A. Patent number: 5613368Abstract: The invention resides in improvements to refrigeration systems which rely on circulation of refrigerant gas through compression and expansion phases, and thereby discharging heat from a fluid to be cooled. The invention includes a subcooler (38) in the refrigerant loop, downstream of the refrigerant condenser (34) and a gas trap (36) between the condenser (34) and the subcooler (38), that assures temperature drop in the subcooler (38). The invention also comprehends a shut-off valve (44) between the compressor and the heat source heat exchanger (28). The invention further includes a high capacity-to-volume oil to air heat exchanger (48), for cooling the lubricating oil in the oil loop (26). Preferred refrigerant is ammonia. Incorporating the above improvements into refrigeration systems enables an overall reduction in system sizing. Such systems, having heat exchange capacity of at least 200,000 Btu/hr., up to at least 500,000 Btu/hr.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1995Date of Patent: March 25, 1997Assignee: Omega Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Todd T. Patent number: 5533849Abstract: A self-locking nut for application to a threaded shaft, especially a wheel bearing nut. The shaft has a spline groove along its thread. A cup-like thrust washer fits on the shaft with a tang in the spline grove to prevent its rotation. It has retention grooves in its wall. A lock ring is slidably retained in the washer with tangs in the retention grooves. A bias spring is fitted between the washer and the lock ring. An internally threaded nut is threaded to the shaft and has a depending neck passing through the lock ring having a bearing surface to bear against the washer, and an outward deformation which prevents removal of the nut from the lock ring.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 1994Date of Patent: July 9, 1996Assignee: Hi-Shear CorporationInventor: Robert A.
