  • Publication number: 20180238170
Abstract: A pick tool comprising a strike tip and a pick tool body, the pick tool body including a non-rotating strike tip at a first end of the pick tool body. A shaft is provided at a second end of the pick tool body, the shaft being configured to pass through an opening in a surface of a pick tool holder, the shaft being configured in use to be non-rotationally attached to the pick tool holder. The shaft projects from a pick tool abutment surface such that, when the pick tool is attached to the pick tool holder, the abutment surface abuts the pick tool holder surface. The abutment surface has an aspect ratio between its length and width of between 1.5:1 and 3:1. The pick tool body comprises a leading edge and a trailing edge, the leading edge being, in use, the edge that first contacts a formation, the trailing edge having an angle of less than 18° between a main axis of the pick tool and an axis from the strike tip to the abutment surface at the trailing edge.

  • Publication number: 20180223661
Abstract: A cutting bit assembly for a mining machine includes a holder having a first surface, a second surface, and a bore extending therebetween, and a bit having a first end and a second end. The bit further includes a tip, a shank, and a shoulder positioned between the tip and the shank. The shank is positioned in the bore of the holder and defines a shank axis. The shoulder engages the first surface of the holder. The shank includes a projection adjacent the second end. The cutting bit assembly also includes a retainer having a groove and a resilient member. The groove engages a portion of the projection. The resilient portion engages the second surface of the holder and biases the retainer along the shank axis and away from the holder.

  • Publication number: 20160167293
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for making a flexible container. The method implements an injection mold having a collapsible core that expands/moves to define the apertures and, in some embodiments, holds a flexible film in place during the injection mold process and collapses/moves back post-injection molding to allow for the flexible container to be readily removed from the die. In addition, the method described includes a post-injection molding anneal process that is implemented to allow the flexible film to shrink so as to provide for form-fitting of the film to the molded portion of the container.

  • Publication number: 20050210861
Abstract: An axial divergent section slot nozzle for an engine is provided. The nozzle has a plurality of spaced apart divergent flaps, at least one device for moving the divergent flaps to change a cross sectional area of the nozzle in a throat region, and a bridge member positioned intermediate adjacent ones of the flaps. The bridge member includes a bridge bracket and a sealing element joined to the bridge bracket. The sealing element has an upper surface. The bridge bracket has a lower surface which diverges from the upper surface of the sealing element. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the bridge bracket has a shape which allows variable slot size depending on nozzle throat jet area.

  • Patent number: 6343999
Abstract: The invention relates to a set of golf clubs employing a two-piece golf club shaft wherein the lengths of the first and second shaft members vary as the loft of the golf club varies. The set of clubs includes a plurality of golf clubs having varying lofts extending from lower loft golf clubs to higher loft golf clubs, wherein each golf club includes a club head and a shaft having a distal end and a butt. Each shaft includes a first member having a first end located at the butt end of the golf club shaft and a second end positioned slightly short of the distal end of the golf club shaft. A second member is secured to the second end of the first member. The second member extends from the second end of the first member to the distal end of the golf club shaft and includes a first end securely coupled to the second end of the first member and a second end which is ultimately secured to a golf club head.

  • Patent number: 6093115
Abstract: A golf club head for hitting a golf ball toward a target has a directional tendency to launch the golf ball in a selected direction. Basic embodiments include a club head having an asymmetric ball striking face such that one side of the face, as measured from the center of the face, has a first bulge radius and the other side of the face has a second bulge radius. The club head assumes a directional tendency in the direction toward the smaller bulge radius. Other embodiments of club heads with a directional tendency have a striking face with a bulge radius apex shifted either right or left of the center of the striking face such that a club face with the bulge radius apex to the left results in a right directional tendency and a club face with a bulge radius apex to the right results in a left directional tendency. Further embodiments of a club head may include a combination of a shifted bulge radius apex and a different radius on each side of the center of the striking face.
