Abstract: A gas turbine engine is provided. The gas turbine engine includes an air inlet, a combustor, an exhaust and first and second measurement devices. A plurality of fuel supply lines is provided to the at least one combustor. The first measurement device measures an amount of a gas in the air inlet. The second measurement device measures an amount of the gas in the exhaust. A control unit varies the fuel supply in the plurality of fuel supply lines so as to control the amount of the gas in the exhaust. The variation is made in dependence upon both the measured amount of the gas in the air inlet and the measured amount of the gas in the exhaust.

  • Patent number: 9296050
Abstract: An undercut anchor system designed for effecting a drill hole and enlarging a lowermost end thereof for insertion and setting of an anchor therein, which utilizes interlocked components surrounding a rod body which can be used as a setting tool in a one-step process to position a bore hole sleeve and an anchor in position within the bore hole. An anchor is positioned on the rod body below the bore sleeve. A cutting tip protrudes from a lower end of the rod body. The cutting tip portion has an operational cutting radius greater than a radius of the rod body. In this manner, an anchor can be inserted within the pre-drilled hole, and, when the anchor has been flanged outwardly by conventional means within the hole, the flange portions of the anchor will rest within the enlarged area, thus securely retaining the anchor in place.

  • Patent number: 9300342
Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with antenna structures. Proximity sensors and other sensors may be used in determining how the electronic device is being operated. Wireless circuitry such as a radio-frequency transmitter associated with a cellular telephone communications band, a wireless local area network band, or other communications band may be used in transmitting radio-frequency signals through the antenna structures at a transmit power. Control circuitry may adjust the wireless circuitry to ensure that the transmit power is capped at a maximum transmit power. The maximum transmit power may be adjusted dynamically by the control circuitry based on data from the proximity sensors, data from a magnetic sensor that detects whether a cover is present on the device, a connector sensor that detects whether the device is coupled to a dock or other accessory, and other sensors.

  • Patent number: 9300560
Abstract: A method for Internet delivery in a delivery network established at network locations, the delivery network comprising a plurality of content servers for serving resources. The servers include a plurality of subsets, each subset being located at one of a plurality of Internet data centers. For each Internet Protocol (IP) address block from which requests for content resources are expected to be received, the method generates a candidate list of data centers to be used to service the requests. For the IP address block, the method selects at least one of the data centers from the candidate list. The selected Internet data center for the IP address block is written into a network map. In response to a DNS query, the map is used to identify one of the Internet data centers from the candidate list to be used to service a request for a content resource.

  • Patent number: 9295203
Abstract: An automated irrigation purge system utilizes a pressure purge method of discharging compressed air from a reservoir through selected irrigation zones with feedback from pressure switches to determine when to open and close each zone valve. No programming or user interaction is required beyond starting the system. The system can operate with a wide variety of irrigation systems, with varying number of zones, pipe lengths, pipe diameters, number and variety of sprinkler heads or outlets, and terrain slope. The system tracks the pressure transition time from high pressure to low pressure for each zone as it is blown out. When the current transition time is within a specified range from the previous transition time, the system knows the water has been sufficiently purged from that zone. The purge system can protect the irrigation system from high-pressure conditions, handle multiple error conditions, and maintain water valve settings during power loss.

  • Patent number: 9295270
Abstract: A rocker chiller 10 includes a tank 12 with a dasher assembly 26 that oscillates across the curved bottom wall of the tank. A series of central deflectors 40 are positioned at intervals along the length of the tank and another series of side deflectors 46 are mounted at intervals along the upwardly extending side walls 16 and 18 of the tank. The side deflectors are offset longitudinally with respect to the central deflectors. The offset relationship of the side deflectors and central deflectors creates serpentine paths through the elongated tank on both sides of the tank that require the carcasses to move through more of the heat exchanging liquid and which reduces the tendency of carcasses passing each other.
