  • Publication number: 20100242018
Abstract: Utilizing a JAVASCRIPT Object Notation (JSON) bridge during JAVA-based composite application development can begin with the receipt of a command to present the wiring diagram of a JAVA-based composite application by an enhanced JAVA-based composite application development tool. The JAVA-based composite application can consist of one or more JAVA-based components and non-JAVA-based components, with one property of a JAVA-based component being communicatively wired to a non-JAVA-based component. A JSON bridge can acknowledge the accessing of the JAVA-based composite application. The wiring diagram of the JAVA-based composite application can then be visually rendered. For the property of the JAVA-based component communicatively wired to the non-JAVA-based component, a user-selectable option to utilize the JSON bridge for communication can be presented.

  • Publication number: 20100236470
Abstract: Assembly for repelling birds from a selected area and method of making it. A rotor is assembled from a plurality of identical fin panels and rotatably mounted on a supporting pole within the selected area. Graphic designs comprising bird scaring holographic and/or diffractive images may be placed on the pole and/or rotor to simulate movement even when the rotor is stationary. The fin panels may be transparent and reflective to project light beams between and away from rotor surfaces. Outwardly projecting fin segments and a rotor barrel with vents are responsive to wind currents to rotate the rotor and generate bird repelling noises and visual effects.

  • Publication number: 20100238169
Abstract: A circuit arrangement, program product and circuit arrangement utilize a textured bounding volume to reduce the overhead associated with generating and using an Accelerated Data Structure (ADS) in connection with physical rendering. In particular, a subset of the primitives in a scene may be mapped to surfaces of a bounding volume to generate textures on such surfaces that can be used during physical rendering. By doing so, the primitives that are mapped to the bounding volume surfaces may be omitted from the ADS to reduce the processing overhead associated with both generating the ADS and using the ADS during physical rendering, and furthermore, in many instances the size of the ADS may be reduced, thus reducing the memory footprint of the ADS, and often improving cache hit rates and reducing memory bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20100239140
Abstract: The present invention describes a method for rendering and displaying a curved planar reformat (CPR) view (7?) of a blood vessel's 3D tubular structure (1), wherein the viewing direction of the curved planar reformat view (7?) is coupled to the viewing angle on a segmented or raw representation of the 3D tubular structure's rendered voxel volume to be visualized or, alternatively, to the C-arm geometry of a 3D rotational angiography device's C-arm system (6). The proposed method thus enables measurements on the X-ray image which do not suffer from spatial foreshortening and do not need to be calibrated. Thereby, said coupling can be performed bidirectional. According to a first aspect of the proposed method, this means that the viewing direction of the aforementioned curved planar reformat view (7?) follows the viewing angle on a segmented or raw representation of the 3D tubular structure's rendered voxel volume to be visualized, or vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20100238505
Abstract: A system suited to scheduling print jobs for a printing system includes a first processing component which identifies preliminary attributes of print jobs to be printed on sheets. A job scheduler receives the preliminary attributes and assigns each of the print jobs to one of a plurality of job queues in time order for printing. Print jobs spanning the same time are scheduled for printing contemporaneously. In one mode of operation, the assignment of the print jobs to the job queues is based on their preliminary attributes and on the application of at least one constraint which affects contemporaneous printing of at least two of the plurality of print jobs. A second processing component identifies detailed attributes of the print jobs. A sheet scheduler receives information on the assignments of the print jobs and their detailed attributes and forms an itinerary for each sheet to be printed.
