  • Publication number: 20240173063
Abstract: A medical system for ablating a tissue site with real-time monitoring during an electroporation treatment procedure. A pulse generator generates a pre-treatment (PT) test signal prior to the treatment procedure and intra-treatment (IT) test signals during the treatment procedure. A treatment control module determines impedance values from the PT test signal and IT test signals and determines a progress of electroporation and an end point of treatment in real-time based on the determined impedance values while the treatment progresses.

  • Publication number: 20240172589
Abstract: A method of detecting foreign objects in crop material includes transferring a cut crop material through a sensing area. Electrodes are arranged around a periphery of the sensing area. A first electromagnetic field is generated by broadcasting first electromagnetic radiation from a first electrode into the sensing area. A first attribute related to the first electromagnetic field is measured at some of the electrodes. A second electromagnetic field is generated by broadcasting second electromagnetic radiation from a second electrode into the sensing area. A second attribute related to the second electromagnetic field is measured at some of the electrodes. The first and second attributes are correlated to a property of a material in the sensing area, and thus, foreign objects may be detected in crop material. Related systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: An automated peritoneal dialysis apparatus includes at least one pump and a memory device configured to simultaneously store a first standard ultrafiltration (“UF”) therapy prescription with a longer duration and a lower dextrose concentration and a second standard UF therapy prescription with a shorter duration and a higher dextrose concentration. A logic implementer of the automated peritoneal dialysis apparatus is programmed to receive a patient weight value and determine a weight difference between the patient weight value and at least one prior patient weight value. When the weight difference is below a threshold, the logic implementer causes the first standard UF therapy prescription and the second standard UF therapy prescription to be displayed as possible options for selection and when the weight difference is above the threshold, the logic implementer prevents the second standard UF therapy prescription from being displayed as a possible option for selection.
