  • Patent number: 12271444
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and systems for evaluating and recording a property of a system of interest (SOI) such as, e.g., a property of artificial intelligence (AI), and recording a change to the property of the SOI, e.g., recording a morphism of AI. Recording an SOI property, and any property changes, may include recording a digital property of the SOI to a blockchain. An SOI morphism may be recorded to a blockchain as one or more hash values of an encoding of the SOI. An SOI morphism may be autonomously or exogenously generated and recorded to the blockchain. The records on the blockchain may indemnify one or more parties associated with the SOI. Indemnifying may include executing a smart contract on a blockchain to mitigate risk of loss. An SOI may be asked to complete one or more tests to distinguish between a human, AI, and non-AI programs.

  • Patent number: 11760052
Abstract: A housewrap is a multi-layer drainage wrap. A nonwoven base web has a three-dimensional pattern embossed therein on one surface of the web. This embossed web is then extrusion coated with a polymer coating. The coating is extrusion-coated on to embossed side of the nonwoven base web. The nonwoven base web has the three-dimensionally embossed and coated side as its outward facing surface. The coated base web is then activated by stretching to provide moisture vapor permeance at a rate that allows a building to breathe. The result is a housewrap that is textured on both the inside and outside faces of the housewrap. The texture and weather resistive coating on exterior side facilitates both drainage of water off of the outside face of the housewrap and the circulation of air and moisture around and through the inside face of the housewrap and promotes a tighter seal and better adhesion to flashing tapes reducing further the points of entry for water into the structure.

  • Patent number: 11710756
Abstract: A direct-bond hybridization (DBH) method is provided to assemble a sensor wafer device. The DBH method includes fabricating an optical element on a handle wafer and depositing first oxide with n-x thickness on the optical element where n is an expected final oxide thickness of the sensor wafer, depositing second oxide with x thickness onto a sensor wafer, executing layer transfer of the optical element by a DBH fusion bond technique to the sensor wafer whereby the first and second oxides form an oxide layer of n thickness between the optical element and the sensor wafer and removing the handle wafer.

  • Patent number: 11656236
Abstract: Various embodiments include an exemplary apparatus and method for insitu calibration of multiple flow-sensing devices within a dilution system. In one example, a calibration and dilution system includes a first mass-flow device to serve as a global reference, a second mass-flow device configured to be coupled to and provide a supply of clean gas to a primary diluter, and a third mass-flow device configured to be coupled to and provide a supply of clean gas to a secondary diluter, where the diluters are pneumatically coupled to one another through a gas-supply line. Multiple valves are coupled to at least the mass-flow devices and the diluters. The calibration and dilution system is arranged so that the mass-flow controllers can be calibrated in-situ without having to remove any of the mass-flow controllers from the calibration and dilution system. Other apparatuses, designs, and methods are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11486803
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and systems to dilute a sampled particle-laden aerosol stream in a recirculating type of aerosol diluter system. In one embodiment, a system to dilute a sampled aerosol stream includes an aerosol sample inlet. A primary diluter device includes a first inlet to receive the aerosol stream and a second inlet to receive a filtered portion of the aerosol stream and combining the filtered portion with an additional sampled aerosol stream. A flow diverter device splits at least the sampled aerosol stream into a first portion of the sampled aerosol stream and a remaining portion of the sampled aerosol stream. A filter receives the remaining portion of the sampled aerosol stream and provides a filtered aerosol stream to the second inlet of the primary diluter device. Other methods and apparatuses are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140322460
Abstract: A panel for use in an architectural installation includes a poplar bark slab having a top face, bottom face and two opposed sides. The bottom face is laminated to a backing to make a composite, the top face has lands and crevasses. A filler on the top face fills the crevasses and a coating covers the filler and presenting a smooth, flat outer surface. The resulting composite panel with filler and coating is machined to obtain a shape selected from the group consisting of flooring, wall panel, ceiling panel, chair rail, door or window frame or crown molding.

  • Patent number: 8236611
Abstract: A method is disclosed for singulating die from a substrate having a sacrificial layer and one or more device layers, with a retainer being formed in the device layer(s) and anchored to the substrate. Deep Reactive Ion Etching (DRIE) etching of a trench through the substrate from the bottom side defines a shape for each die. A handle wafer is then attached to the bottom side of the substrate, and the sacrificial layer is etched to singulate the die and to form a frame from the retainer and the substrate. The frame and handle wafer, which retain the singulated die in place, can be attached together with a clamp or a clip and to form a package for the singulated die. One or more stops can be formed from the device layer(s) to limit a sliding motion of the singulated die.

  • Patent number: 7844310
Abstract: An improved PDA-like portable electronic communication device includes a housing having a display screen on the front and a mounting surface that is contoured to generally conform to the shape of a user's forearm. In this way, the communication device can be comfortably and securely worn on a user's forearm so that it is constantly or immediately available for use. In example embodiments, the mounting surface is formed by the back side of the housing and is cylindrically concave or frustoconically concave. In other example embodiments, the device includes a mount to which the housing attaches in multiple positions, with the mount having a frustoconically concave back surface in one embodiment and with another embodiment additionally including mating cylindrically convex and concave surfaces of the mount and the housing.
