  • Patent number: 5695049
Abstract: A contact lens container comprising an integrally molded one-piece synthetic resin receptacle providing a well having a peripheral wall with a bottom portion, and a flange extending about the periphery of the upper end of well. The bottom portion has a generally concave inner surface for seating a contact lens thereon and is being relatively rigid. The peripheral wall of the well has an annular, resiliently deflectable inversion portion above the bottom portion, and it is invertible to position the bottom portion of the well above the plane of the flange. Pressing upwardly against the bottom portion of the well inverts the inversion portion of the well and dispose the bottom portion with the lens thereon above the plane of the flange. The receptacle is moved against the eye of the user to place the lens against the cornea and thereby cause the lens to seat thereon.

  • Patent number: 5594616
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, an ignition coil assembly includes a primary coil and a secondary coil. A primary connector assembly of the ignition coil assembly includes a conductor which is adapted to electrically connect one terminal of the primary coil with one terminal of the secondary coil. The conductor includes indentations which delimit a portion of the conductor and facilitate the removal of that portion of the conductor. The conductor further includes provisions for electrically connecting an electrical component such as diode in place of the removed portion of the conductor. The present invention thus facilitates inclusion of an electrical component such as a diode in applications which will benefit from the inclusion of the electrical component in place of the conductor.

  • Patent number: 5515964
Abstract: A lens storage container includes an integrally formed receptacle member having a spheroidal well providing a concave recess in which the lens is disposed. In some embodiments, a lip extends about a portion of the periphery of the well to maintain the lens in the well therebelow. In other embodiments, a depending portion on the closure extends into the well to keep the lens in position. A closure extends across the well and is secured to the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5474169
Abstract: A lens storage container includes an integrally formed receptacle member having a bottom wall and a sidewall providing a cavity. An upstanding post on the upper surface of the bottom wall has a convexly curved upper end which is spaced below the upper end of the sidewall and seats a contact lens. The post is spaced inwardly from the sidewall along one axis of the receptacle to allow a pair of the users's fingers to be placed upon the post below its upper end and to move upwardly into contact with the periphery of a lens seated thereon. A closure extends across the cavity and is secured to the receptacle member.

  • Patent number: 5406242
Abstract: The present invention discloses an ignition coil assembly comprising a housing of molded plastic material. A coil assembly in the housing includes a primary coil member and a secondary coil member, the secondary coil member includes a high voltage output lead. The housing includes a base wall, and an integral cylindrical stem portion which extends outwardly from the base wall along an axis. A secondary coil output lead terminal member extends in the general direction of the axis through the base wall, and is connected to the high voltage output lead at one end and terminates in a clasp portion at its other end. The clasp portion is received within the annular stem portion. The annular stem portion includes an interior annular wall and an exterior annular wall. The clasp is concentrically located within the stem portion and is spaced therefrom to thereby provide an annular clearance cavity.

  • Patent number: 5376055
Abstract: An elongated transmission chain is formed by roller assemblies and pairs of link plates extending in parallel spaced relationship outwardly of the roller assemblies to provide a pivotable connection therebetween. A master link pivotably connects the ends of the elongated chain and includes a pair of link plates overlapping the side plates of the roller assemblies at the ends of the chain. These master link plates have a pair of spaced apertures therein which are coaxially aligned with the apertures in the adjacent rollers of the roller assemblies at the ends of the chain. A pair of threaded fasteners seat in these apertures and extend between the master link plates and through the side plates and rollers. These fasteners are threadably engaged in assembly with the master link plates and are of length not greater than the spacing between the outer surfaces of the master link plates so that they do not extend outwardly thereof.

  • Patent number: 5285761
Abstract: An ignition coil having annular primary and secondary coils, the primary coil wound around a central core member and including a permanent magnet made of a magnetic material that is less than fully dense, and is interposed between one end of the central core member and one end of a C-shaped iron core surrounding the primary and secondary coil assembly and assuring the elimination of any air gap between the C-shaped iron core and the central core member. Alternatively, the permanent magnet may be replaced with an electrically non-conductive shim of substantially equal dimension such that the energy output is substantially reduced and the charge/discharge interval substantially increased to thereby allow use of the same basic modularly constructed coil assembly for totally different ignition strategies.

  • Patent number: 4525044
Abstract: A soft contact lens of generally symmetrical concavo-convex configuration and of uniform optical power about its optic axis is provided with an elongated marking in the peripheral portion thereof to permit the user to identify readily the inner surface of the lens. This marking is asymmetrical about its midpoint so that the user can determine the appropriate surface by noting the direction of asymmetry. This marking may be produced as a raised or recessed surface during moulding and casting of the lens, or as a recessed surface subsequently by etching, engraving or the like, or it may be formed by printing of the lens.
