  • Patent number: 10317954
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein provide electroacoustic devices of a computing device. An example computing device includes a base member and a display member rotatably connected to the base member via a hinge. The display member is to cover a top surface of the base member when the device is in a closed position. The computing device includes an electroacoustic device residing within a cavity along the top surface of the base member. As an example, when the display member is to be opened from the closed position of the device, the electroacoustic device is to rotate out from the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20190171267
Abstract: Example implementations relate to balancing a power load among USB ports. For example, an apparatus according to the present disclosure, may include a plurality of USB ports, and an embedded controller coupled to the plurality of USB ports. The embedded controller may determine that a first device is coupled to a USB port of the plurality of USB ports, and determine a power draw of the first device relative to a type of the USB port. The embedded controller may balance a power load among a remainder of the plurality of USB ports based on the power draw of the first device relative to the type of the USB port.

  • Publication number: 20190138074
Abstract: Example systems relate to power monitoring and reduction processes. An example system may include a modular computing device including a plurality of universal serial bus (USB) ports and a power supply unit coupled to the modular computing device. The example system may further include an embedded controller coupled to the power supply unit and to the plurality of USB port. The embedded controller may monitor a level of power consumed by the system and determine whether a surge event has occurred in the system. In response to the determination that the surge event has occurred, the embedded controller may determine whether an agency event has occurred in the system and initiate a power reduction process in response to the determination.

  • Patent number: 10283114
Abstract: Example implementations disclosed herein can be used to generate a local sound signal corresponding to utterances of a user and other sounds detected by a microphone array coupled to a communication device and to condition the local sound signals to separate the utterances of the user from the other sounds to generate a conditioned sound signal. The conditioned sound signals are evaluated to generate a local quality score for the conditioned sound signals, and when the local quality score of the conditioned sound signals is below a threshold associated with the communication device, a local feedback message indicating a local user position change can be generated. The local feedback message can include instructions for the user to move to another location to improve the quality of the condition sound signals.

  • Publication number: 20180220231
Abstract: In example implementations, a system is disclosed for suppressing ambient sounds. In one example, the system includes a camera, a plurality of microphones, a plurality of speakers and a processor. The camera captures an image of a target, the plurality of microphones receives ambient sounds and a plurality of speakers outputs an audio signal to suppress the ambient sounds. The processor is in communication with the camera, the plurality of microphones and the plurality of speakers. The processor can identify a location on the target based on the image that is captured, determine a direction and a frequency of the ambient sounds, and generate the audio signal based on the direction and the frequency of the ambient sounds, the audio signal is directed towards the location on the target.
