Abstract: A transmission shift mechanism including a shift selector lever mounted on a spherical bearing and a shifting segment mounted on a transverse axis and having a transverse slot receiving said shift selector lever for allowing said lever to pivot transversely for selecting a speed ratio and pivoting fore and aft for shifting said transmission.

Abstract: A deflectable support for a protective frame on a tractor to absorb shock loading on the frame and prevent excessive damage to the frame and provide a secondary support for the protective frame to prevent damage to the frame or injury to the operator.

Abstract: An adjustable power steering mechanism to compensate for the adjusting of the tread width on the front wheels of a tractor. The tie rod is adjusted axially by a single adjusting device on the tie rod to extend or contract the tie rod to assure the same adjustment is made on the tie rod as on the front axle. A hydraulic actuator connected between a steering arm and a bracket on the front axle has a single adjustment to compensate for the tread width adjustments on the front axle and tie rod.

Abstract: A dual wheel and axle assembly having a wedge lock hub and axle assembly with an auxiliary clamp to augment the grip of the hub on the drive axle. A drive is provided to force bushing segments between the wheel hub and the drive axle to firmly lock the wheel hub and axle together. One of the bushing segments has an extension which extends axially along the drive shaft and carries a clamp in the form of at least one U-bolt having curvature mating that of the peripheral surface of the drive axle. The U-bolt is firmly clamped against a portion of the drive axle while the extension of the bushing segment which has an integral key firmly seats in a key slot of the drive axle to augment the grip of the wheel hub on the drive axle to accommodate additional torque produced by adding dual wheels to a conventional single wheel drive on the tractor.

Abstract: A cable and cam operated vehicle park lock and range shift mechanism whereby the linear movements operating the mechanism are transformed into a rotational movement for operating an eccentric cam and a shift fork for operating the park lock and range shift in the transmission.
