Abstract: A hand and finger shield includes a front wall and a rear wall spaced therefrom between which the fingers of a hand may be inserted. The front and rear wall are interconnected by a bottom wall. At least one intermediate wall extends upwardly from the bottom wall and is joined to the front and rear walls so that fingers may be placed on each side of the intermediate wall. This arrangement creates a shield which protects the user's fingers when for example, holding a food item which is being sliced or cut. The shield may also have side walls extending inwardly from the front wall to function as a scoop, scraper, or dispenser of cooking ingredients.
