  • Patent number: 7861085
Abstract: The subject invention relates to a system and methodology facilitating automated manufacturing processes in a regulated industrial controller environment, wherein a centralized signature component generates signature events to remote locations and validates signatures required to satisfy such events. A system for distributed signature processing is provided. The system includes a signature component to determine when to generate one or more electronic signature events and to validate electronic signatures that have been received from various local or remote locations. An application layer distributes interface components to the locations in order to facilitate generation of the electronic signature events and validation of the electronic signatures.

  • Patent number: 7721273
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and methodology facilitating automated manufacturing processes in an industrial controller environment. An automation system is provided for automated industrial processing. The system includes an equipment phase object that is executed by a controller engine, wherein the equipment phase object can be accessible from internal instructions within the controller and/or from external instructions directed to the controller such as from a server or another controller across a network connection. A sequencing engine operates with the equipment phase object to facilitate automated industrial processing. The sequencing engine can be adapted to various industrial standards or in accordance with other state type models.

  • Patent number: 5499188
Abstract: A process plant has a process control system and a plurality of production lines, each production line having a predetermined equipment configuration. The process control system further includes a controller for interfacing to each production line. The process control system has information pertaining to the equipment configuration of each production line stored in an equipment data base, the operations performed by each production line stored in an operations data base, and raw materials information of the process plant stored in a raw materials data base. A method for controlling the production of a product by a production line comprises the steps of building a formula based on the product to be produced. The formula data provides information relating to relative quantities of raw materials included in the product and the manner of combining the raw materials.
