Abstract: A post removal device for removing fence posts having lugs thereon. The post removal device includes an elongated member having a first end and a second end. The elongated member has middle portion, a first wall and a second wall such that the elongated member generally has U-shaped cross-section taken traverse to a longitudinal axis of the elongated member. A plate is attached to the first end of the elongated member. The plate lies in a plane orientated generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the plate. A catch is attached to the elongated member and is positioned nearer the second end than the first end. The post is positioned between the first and second walls such that the catch may engage one of the lugs.
