  • Patent number: 6405631
Abstract: A semi-automatic handgun is disclosed including a frame having a barrel housing mounted thereon. A barrel is movably mounted on the barrel housing and has a cartridge chamber at its rearward end for receiving a cartridge therein. The barrel is movable between a rearward position and a forward position with respect to the barrel housing and is normally in its rearward position. The barrel moves forwardly in a straight line from its rearward position upon firing of the cartridge in the chamber to counteract the rearward energy of discharge, thereby reducing recoil. The handgun may be fired in either a single action or double action manner. The firing hammer of the handgun is re-cocked, upon firing of the cartridge, by means of a movable piston having a firing pin positioned therein with the firing pin engaging the hammer to move the hammer to its re-cocked position.

  • Patent number: 6030112
Abstract: The slurry batcher mixer of the present invention includes a mixing vessel having a pair of vertical side plates with a trough supported along the length of the vessel between the side plates. A ribbon type screw conveyor is mounted in the trough and extends the length of the mixing vessel, and is connected to a reversible drive motor to selectively rotate the screw in a first direction to convey material to a discharge port, or in the opposite direction to provide a positive thorough mixing of the contents of the mixing vessel. A source of fly ash, cement, and water is provided to the mixing vessel, and a pair of spray bars are mounted on the side plates with nozzles directed towards the screw, to spray water along the length of the screw.

  • Patent number: 5785421
Abstract: A batching module for a mobile batching plant includes an open three dimensional frame with first and second end cells defined therein and a third intermediate cell defined between the end cells. A plurality of interchangeable batching apparatus are provided for removable installation within the cells. A reversible conveyor is mounted within the frame and extends between the ends thereof to convey materials deposited thereon from the batching apparatus to either the first or second end of the frame. Length extensible support legs are mounted to the batching apparatus frame to permit selective height adjustment of the frame above the ground. The legs are telescopically mounted within vertical hollow support posts of the frame for selective retraction completely within the frame posts. Either mobile mixers or stationary mixers may be positioned under the first and second cells to receive product from the batchers and conveyor.

  • Patent number: 5429434
Abstract: A horizontal drum concrete batch mixer comprising a cylindrical mixer drum which may be rotated in a mixing direction or a discharge direction. The interior of the drum has mixing blades provided thereon for mixing the concrete when the drum is rotated in its mixing direction. The interior of the drum is also provided with transfer blades which transfer the mixed concrete from the inlet end of the drum to the discharge end of the drum when the drum is rotated in its discharge direction. A discharge chute is movably positioned in the discharge opening formed in the discharge of the drum and is movable from a discharge position to a mixing position. A plurality of spaced-apart discharge blades are secured to the interior of the drum adjacent the discharge end thereof for delivering the mixed material into the discharge chute when the discharge chute is in its discharge position and the drum is rotated in its discharge direction.

  • Patent number: 4832498
Abstract: A mobile concrete mixer comprising an elongated wheeled frame adapted to be connected at its forward end to a prime mover such as a truck or the like to enable the mixer to be moved from one location to another. An elongated conveyor support is pivotally mounted on the wheeled frame and has a hydraulic cylinder operatively secured thereto to enable the rearward end thereof to be raised to the desired dicharge height. A conveyor belt is movably mounted on a conveyor suport and has an elongated concrete mixer hopper positioned thereover. The lower end of the concrete mixer hopper is open to provide communication between the interior of the hopper and the upper portion of the conveyor belt. A plurality of vertically disposed shafts are rotatably positioned within the mixing hopper and have helical conveyor-like portions mounted on the lower ends thereof and laterally extending mixing paddles positioned thereabove. The rotation of the mixing devices elevates and mixes the aggregate materials in the hopper.

  • Patent number: 4720007
Abstract: A suspended idler roller for supporting a troughing belt for use in the conveying of granular bulk material such as sand, gravel, crushed stone, grain, coal, fertilizer, etc. The idler roller comprises a plurality of intermediate idler wheels positioned on an elongated curved support rod between a pair of end idler rollers. Each of the idler rollers has elongated hubs having teeth on the ends thereof which mesh with the teeth on the next adjacent roller so that all of the idler rollers rotate in unison on the support rod. A flexible bellows element is positioned between each pair of idler wheels and has its ends operatively sealed and secured to the idler wheels for preventing contaminants from coming into contact with the bearing surfaces.
